I went back here after watching Shane's "Why I Wasn't On KZbin Rewind" video. When this video was posted, I was in junior high and at that time, I felt really fat and ugly and this made me feel a lot better. I kind of wanna vent about something. I’m not an OG fan, I’ve been watching since 2014, and Shane’s my favorite and I will always love and support him, but I just prefer his old content so much more. It’s so funny and Brandon Rogers is the closest thing I have to it. Now, present 2018, Shane has so many new fans coming in who don’t know anything about this stuff other than when he mentions it in his series videos. I just miss back in 2014 when his fanbase was pretty much adults and teens and not 12 year olds saying “shook” and “yes we stan a skinny queen legend my wig just flew” who watch for his conspiracy theory videos. Although I do love Shane as an individual more though. He’s learned to be comfortable and accept himself and his identity and I’m so grateful he has Ryland and is surrounded by friends who love him because he deserves it since he’s so caring and such a sweetheart. He’s genuinely a beautiful person inside and out. And yes, while I am extremely proud of his growth and subs and that he loves his new content more than ever, I personally only watch the videos for him and to support him, and I find them a bit boring or unfunny at times because it just isn’t my humor, and that’s okay, but to put it simply I’m pretty much saying “I miss the old Shane!” but it goes beyond that. I prefer the new Shane with the old Shane’s content. He’s the father I never had and he’s gotten me through so much crap over the last few years and without him I don’t know what I’d do. And even though my favorite parts of his new series are when he mentions his skits and characters, Teresa, or his family life and his series with his father (that was so astounding, I was so proud of him), I just wish the fanbase wasn’t so, well, annoying, and appreciated his old content a little more. I’m starting to drift away from him and his new content.

Same here. His old videos are so funny and have so much to learn from them (like this one). I know this sounds cliche but new fans will never appreciate how amazing his old content was and truly get his humour. I wish he would upload more funny videos instead of The Mind of Jake Paul. I appreciate the fact he loves his new content but I subscribed back in 2015 and watched his old skits, conspiracies and the ones where he melted Barbies 😂. I just wish he would listen to his old fans and create videos not just because he would like it but because his fans would love it too. 💞

I agree but you have to admit there are 12 year olds who actually enjoy his content. My cousin started watching im 3 years ago and absolutely can’t stop watching all his videos. She’s binged watched all of them. However I understand what your saying the 12 year olds saying “shook” is getting annoying.

Sophie Forsyth No I definitely understand. You could even argue most of his fanbase prefers the new content over the old. I’m happy that they have someone to look up to but once again, some of the fans can be irritating you know. Like you said with the shook thing.

I feel like Amy a lot. At school people make fun of me and call me fat. I lost all my friends and my family abuses me. I've tried to loose wait but it's not helping. i am facing trouble in high school right now because I always feel like nobody except for one person likes me at school because nobody talks to me and lots of people are mean to me and it makes me depressed. Shane's old videos make me happy and the old videos have great lessons in them. Shane's new videos may not be good anymore, but at least I have these videos to make me happy.

All you have to do is not to care, show them that their words don't matter at all. be strong, and keep smiling when they try to put you down. I do that all the time, some people in my school are assholes to me, all I do is keep smiling and say "Yeah ok" or sometimes act as if I didn't hear them. Because words won't do anything to you at all, unless you let them hurt you yourself. Love yourself the most.

I'm sorry that you have a rough time at school...be strong and love yourself! School won't last forever!!! I was miserable at school because I'm fat, dark skinned, and short, and my mother never let me have any trendy stuff to make me look cooler. Well, I let myself become a class clown and just made jokes and laugh at myself to get through all that...even though it's all just a pretend, to look happy and not affected by all the mocks about my lack of physical beauty. I pass the school brilliantly and got accepted in the most prestigious university in my country with my own efforts. I turned myself cool by own rule at college and find a cute boyfriend who loved me just the silly woman I am and later marry me and always be by my side for 12 years. Well, guess what...years later, in school reunions, I found out lots of my "hip friends from highschool" have boring lives, money problems, fat asses, ugly husbands and kids, and most of them are just regular housewives...some of them got so poor they sometimes don't even have the guts to attend the reunion. And all of them still remember the class clown that I was, reminiscing and adoring the fact that I haven't change a bit (still a clown, LOL), astonished about what my life turned out to be as an entrepreneur, restaurant owner etc. etc....I feel like a celebrity! 😂😂😂 So, just be who you are, pursue who you want to be, and always ALWAYS do your best. That's all I can give you. Sorry for my boring story/preach and average vocabulary, hehehe. 😘 I hope you do well, Honey...
