My friends grandfather who was a walker bulldog comander in vietnam once said "i kinda wish i hadnt survived the war. The war gave me purpouse in life when i had none. The time i spent in that tank was both the best and worst time of my life, and i would give anything to go back". He passed away 1 week later.

From what I've learned a lot of soldiers felt that way, many of them found purpose during war but when the war ended they found it very difficult to readapt to civilian life. My own grandfather was the same way, after the war he often wondered why *he* survived while his brother didn't (both he and his brother were in charge of different artillery units in the Pacific Theater, during one of the assaults he got word that his brothers artillery position was overrun by the Japanese) he later found his brother when they retook the position. Up until he passed away in 2005, I would occasionally hear him mutter those words: why did I survive, it should've been him. His wife gave him purpose after the war but only enough to keep him alive.

Just an idea passing through: A Haifuri AMV about the Episode 3 Submarine battle using the song 'Wolfpack' by Sabaton. Edit: On a side note, I think speeding up footage in AMVs can work for brief moments but not for the whole thing. But maybe that's just me though.
