I believe the build plate is 235mmx235mm like the Ender 3. The direct drive extruder head is reported to be lighter than the Neptune 3 Pro. The online description said it's 121 point leveling (11x11).

4 and 4 pro are the same bar the metal wheel bearings on the rails and has the second bed heating option, they literally print the same, the regular neptune 4 also has the gantry lightbar

How fast can you get it printing with the blowers set to a "reaonable noise level"? To get 250mm/s do you need to have them on at all?

As far as i know does Noctua only produce Axil fans and 12V only. For this setting you need the pressure of radial fans and 24V or an stepdown buck converter. Sunon is the best choice for more silent 24V radial fans that are pwm controllable. $20 a piece (!) makes a $80 upgrade if you leave the 2 part cooling fans on the print head and the mainboard cooling fan. $140 if you upgrade all fans.

This is all very nice in theory, but when it comes to printing at that speed, let's say 250mm. The question is how many parameters we have to change depending on the material. I don't think cura is ready for V4. So why do I want to buy something that is supposed to print at 500mm/s, but it is recommended to print at 250mm/s. This sounds to me like ELEGOO wants to bring out the first 3D printers, (afordables), but let us solve the rest of the problems. Now suppose I'm in a hurry and I want to print TPU at 500mm/s... I don't think it's possible and I'd like to see it. But for the end product to be of quality...who benefits from that, obviously ELEGOO, it doesn't get us out of trouble. What they should do is start researching on connecting the 3D printer with the AI and solve the problems of printing with different materials...that is going to be a game changer.

i just got my neptune 3 pro like under 2 weeks ago =( was thinking about sending it back to get the 4 cause i have had some issues, but i think il just mod it, as i go and then my next printer will be a core xy, shouldn be to hard to add the rear fan and ive already priced out the bi metallic hotend for 300c printing, and im working at setting up klipper on my old phone.. but, sucks cause i literally just got the anycubic mono x 6k at easter on sale, like a week or so after i got it they announced the m5 12k lol so i guess i got into 3d printing at the wrong time lmfao

I have N3 plus with klipper and cht nozzle, it can print with no problem 200mms but cooling on left side of extruder is not sufficient (bad design) so next week I gona mod it with 5015 fans (search on printables Hero me gen 7) I believe it will do the job :) (if u need i can send u klipper config file and prusaslicer setting)

that's ridiculous, just 4 months ago they launched the neptune 3 series... at the same time they insist in such a small bed. although it is interesting for the 300°C of the nozzle I hope they launch the plus version wiith 300x300 mm bed...

Do you own one? as I've printed at 500mm/s. Came out fine. All depends what you print. This machine prints pretty much anything at 250mm / 300mm without issue. SO maybe next time actually try one before posting

You may have put in a speed of 500mm/s into your slicer, but a whole bunch of limiting factors like max flow and acceleration will limit how fast you actually print. To print at 500mm/s with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer hight would require a polymer volume flow of at least 40mm3/s...this is FARE outside of what that hotend is capable of doing. Speed is not a limiting factor in FDM 3D printing, melting enough plastic fast enough is the limiting factor. with that extuder hotend setup you will see under extrion before a flow rate of 15mm3/s, and that is a long way off the 40mm3/s flow rate needed for 500mm/s. This is the problem with marketing, some people don't understand why saying "This can print at 500mm/s" is comical to anyone who actually understands what involved with printing at high speeds.
