Excellent video and comparison. I had a 4k stall I'm my built trans am. I went the other way down to 3000. That's because the 4k was super loose and hot in street driving and it blew the tires off from a stop. It's much better now.

Thats good for a big truck there not many cars that can do 5sec 0-60 i just installed a 3200 stall in my 92 f150 302 i had just exahust and filter and throttle body spacer with mikey Thompson et streets and did a 6.8sec 0 to 60 and im sure its close to 5.8 or 6flat now

What cam do u have and if u cam is making hp lets say around 2800 and your stall is a 3400 rpm that means your kiling power cause your started way ahead

I'm gonna ask you a weird question, but please answer the best GUESS you can. Thank you :) . I just bought a 2500 stall for my 1984 Porsche 928. It uses a 1900 stall from factory. I camed up the engine and the power band now hits at 2500 up. Its actually a slower standing launch than before I changed the cams. but tons more juice at 2500 up THAT is why I bought a 2500 for it, My Q is.... What is your best guess of how much time 0 to 60 mp/h will it take off my car? Its doing 6.2 second with the 1900 stall.

Hey man I have the exact same setup as you but can’t get the truck to stall above 2300 in 2wd does it only stall that high in 4x4?

Yeah, I can get close to 3k in 4x4 but just a little over 2k in 2wd before the engine overpowers the brakes.

Was that on auto 4WD when you did those pulls or just 4WD on high?

Yeah I like it. You probably won’t get traction with that 6.0 unless you get better tires. I have to put mine in 4wd if I want to launch good

I’m watching video’s and everyone says what the rpm stall is but no one seems to mention the size of the converter most of what I’m watching are trucks so I’m wondering 10” or 11”?

I have a 2011 headers intake pretty much stock. But I have 4wd and I want a circle d 3000-3200 stall for the launches. You think I should be fine with a stock truck? I want to launch harder right now it’s 2000 rpm brake stalling

I have an 08 tsp stage 2 high lift cam, circle d 245mm 3200 stall and stock everything else besides valve springs and cai and the transfer case takes 4wd launchs great, even spins all 4 on the street sometimes

Can you retain the Stock Converter Lock-Up characteristics for cruising on a new Stall or do you loose that ?

Yeah you can tune for that. Mine basically has the same lock up characteristics as stock. But during acceleration is when you notice a difference.

Sweet deal man. What was the stall the crapped out? Im actually going through researching now for a stall for my 2011 5.3, cammed, headers, exhaust and tune and will the 3400 stall affect towing? I tow a camper alot

It was a TCI. 3400 might be too much unless you get the triple disc lock up so you can tune it to lock up while towing. I would assume that lock up clutch would be strong enough to do that. If it isn’t then I wouldn’t go too high.

I have a 2800 circle d stall in my 2011 crew cab Silverado that is cammed , geared with 4.30s, hp tuned. I pull my 6500lb camper all over the place it pulls good and i cruise at 70 to 75 mph.
