High-temperature Dabit3D2 printer; testing cable drive.

Besides rack and pinion a cable drive is another possible drive method.
I turned up a simple sheave with a V-groove and an r=0.4mm radius at the bottom.
This turns out to be too small for the cable, but experiencing that is the sole reason for these tests. I will also test aramid rope, for example.
Of course, with the cable not straight this will not run linear. That's not the point at this moment anyway. I just want to see if I need to fix the cable to the sheave and assess it's running qualities and resonances.

Zou die veer niet om de hoek van de paal moeten? Bij harddisks en floppy drives zat er ook altijd een veer in het metalen film dat de stepper met de kop verbond. Zou zo'n metalen film niet passen? Eventueel met gaten waar een wiel met stalen kogels in valt?

Als ik het mooi wil doen moet ik toch een stukje metaal fabriceren om het spul allemaal goed uit te lijnen en de kabel te klemmen. Dit was meer 'visvis in de bak, ah, veertje. Visvis in de bak, ah, M6 boutje'. Schroefschroef, ja, zit. Mooi, prik erop. Spanning op de kabel mag ook nog een heel stuk hoger dan ik met dit veertje kan halen; dat word een knap dikke veer.
