I used to have a baby face but once i hit my mid-20s, my face slimmed out and I have quite high cheekbones. It’s interesting how much our face changes from our early to late 20s, losing the baby look and our features having more prominence as we age

I was about to write something similar. For the majority of my childhood and early adulthood I had a chubby rounder face but in my mid 20s my cheeks started to slim down naturally and now (27) I have high prominent cheekbones (similar to one of last women with the cheeks a bit mor hollow). It’s crazy how long it takes for baby fat to go away which is why I’m now a big believer on why it’s better for younger folks to wait a bit before doing plastic surgeries.

I think about that too sometimes, but beauty actually is not something the whole world would agree on, if u're a man u have it even better, just like how some British ppl want to get bronzed, or even pay for fake tan, there is a lot of other countries that have pale skin as a beauty standard, there is ppl who like cupid now lips and others who like full lips, etc, and as I said beauty standards are more targeted towards women so unless u're a girl u're less likely to be judged from ur appearance, most of the time ppl don't notice your "bad" features unless u point them out as a man, but for us, as u enter a room u're analysed and classified as either beautiful or ugly, hardly average, when a guy passes by he's just a guy, but when a girl passes she's either beautiful or ugly, sometimes average, there is exceptions ofc, like if a guy is super cute u'll definitely notice that, so my point is u don't have to worry about ur appearance ESPECIALLY as a guy, u can stay good looking in ur 40's because no one think bad about guys with wrinkles, but for us 20s and up u're stating to get even more judged for every bad trait, life is so unfair :( anyways don't worry about it ❤ (said by a 14 year old girl that don't think she's good enough)

How can a mother be jealous of her daughter? I find that some mothers just want their kids to focus on their skills and intelligence and not to rely on their looks so they don't want their kids to think they're pretty/handsome. Both my sons are handsome but I don't like it when people keep praising their looks cuz I want them to earn things and win people's favor through their wits and talents and not their looks. I have high and prominent cheekbones (like Audrey Tatou and Sofia Loren) I got from my mom, and on top of that baby fat, I got from my dad (he had a baby face), the only time I got my cheekbones to ‘pop’ was when my BMI was 19-20. It also made my face look more mature (had to wear more make up because I looked tired), but I would get asked if I modeled (eventhough I’m only 5’5), and I was mistaken for a celebrity a few times. That phase didn’t last as my body prefers to be at a BMI of 22-23, and I look more ‘girl-next-door ‘ and much younger, my facial skin looks much better too and I can wear less make up without looking like I haven’t slept. There are pros and cons to everything. I’d personally rather have a softer, fresh-looking face than a sculpted one, eventhough the latter is definitely more photogenic. Also, I love low cheekbones, I think they look cute and very feminine on girls (like they say, the grass is always greener), and on guys they are charming and unique.

This is nothing to do with height of the cheekbones, all cheekbones are just below the eyes, this is to do with how much they poke out and how much fat is in your cheeks.

Older generations used to always marvel at how high my cheekbones were, especially for how young I was, and I had chipmunk cheeks but high bones, but they didn’t know I’m half European half Native American…so I look European with Native American high cheekbones

It they are high, you have high cheekbones. However, if they are low, you have low cheekbones.

I swear I look at myself in the mirror and think I look sexy af then see myself on photos etc and my confidence drops but people still say I look good. Idek whether to believe them or not but hey idrc anymore since hitting the gym has given me body dismorphia on a higher level 😂

All my life people say wow you have beautiful high cheek bones, but my face looks like oval with cherub cheeks close to my nose more like the model with the low cheekbones. So now I’m confused 😂

Interesting! I have high cheekbones and very prominent ones at that. Not sure if I like them. When I lose some weight or don´t sleep for a day then it it can quickly look gaunt.
