Another banger. Would like to point out the shovel trick again for anyone new to digging in turgid/turbulent water. Put a line up the shovel handle (not the whole way, just somewhere easy for you to see) that is facing the sky when your blade is flat, this can help with dumping soil due to things getting out of whack. Also great to let you fine tune your angle when you want to use the blade to "shield" your load a bit from faster flows.

I work in the British countryside where we have a short horsefly season that really sucks and seems to be getting worse every year. I don’t know if you can get it in aus but the best thing ever is a product by Avon called Skin So Soft. Got recommended by horsey people to me and it’s gold. It’s technically a moisturiser, so that month is the one month I have really nice skin too, but the horseflies treat it like kryptonite. They still pounce on you with that “oh nice! Human flesh!” Vibe but just bounce right off like some sci-fi deflector shield is in operation. Relatively sweat resistant. Highly recommend.

I think the glitter water from the clay is where all the microscopic fine gold is. That's how and why the old timers used mercury in their pans.
@VoGusProspecting2 жыл бұрын
No that is mica. Gold won't do that in dirty water. There's no surface tension to float it.
@aaronhopkins66972 жыл бұрын
@@VoGusProspecting that's good to know now I can stop trying to figure out how to catch all of the microscopic fine gold instead of just throwing it back into the creek.
