What if they gave a question like they gave the lcm and hcf and find the 2 numbers. How do u find it??

if you mean dividing it by 2 or by 3 or whatever, i think it doesnt matter which order you do it in, you will eventually get the same reults i think

how would you do a question such as 'two numbers have these properties both numbers are greater than 6 their hcf is 6 their lcm is 60 what are the two numbers' please help i am stuck on doing these kinds of questions

that specific example isnt possible i think but what i do is just find the factor pairs of the lcm number then calculate which of those pairs fit the other categories. This is a very late reply lol sry.

I have a question that I can't figure out: Given that A= 2^4 x 3 x 5^3 and B= 3^4 x 5^2 x 7^2, find the HCF of A and B. the answers say that it is 3 x 5^2= 75. but then why would it not be 3^4 x 5^3? because that would get a different answer and how do you know what ones to use?
