Dimash wrote Unforgettable Day when he was 16 or 17 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8. A 5 second accident with vibrato😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened. Some joke that he actually sang a higher note, but realized that we earthlings can’t hear notes that high, so he “only” sang the D8😉 Much love from Germany

No it's not on a piano. Laughing......Having a musical background when I first heard Dimash hit the D8 I had to verify it on a musical note frequency chart. I whipped out my frequency app on my phone and replayed that part of the song. Dimash actually hit a C#8 (4434.92 Hz) for 2 seconds and then bent it up to the D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. A D8 frequency is 4698.63 Hz. Dimash actually hit 4702 Hz which is basically spot on the D8. Just incredible! - Pete from Dallas

This lovely song was written by a young Dimash. It is a story of finding a girl in the crowd and falling instantly in love but then losing her and not finding her again. He does that with the mic to prove he is live not lypsyncing or autotuned, there are some who cannot believe this voice from this guy is real, understandable lol. You will know a D8 when you hear it!! It's unmistakable. There's no need to assign whistle register to a random high note, just because you've been told to expect it in this song. Be patient and trust Dimash. He won't let you down.

This song is so beautiful ❤ The lyrics are pure poetry. Dimash sings the bridge of this song differently each time. I highly recommend you watch the performance from the Dimash Digital Show... there are English captions so you can see the lyrics. I also recommend the performance from Singer 2017. He sings the 2nd verse in Chinese instead of Kazakh... and the bridge is just 🔥 even though the highest note is "only" a G7 instead of a D8. 😅

The song is called Unforgettable Day. Dimash composed it when he was 19 (I believe, anyone please correct me if I got that wrong). It's a very beautiful song, he sings it everytime on his concerts and the Dears sing it with him, although most of us don't know Kazakh. And that crazy note is the infamous D8. I'm a fan of his natural voice. Yes, he is fabulous with the high notes and even with his low notes, but his natural voice is the most beautiful I've ever heard.

That`s his famous D8, it`s out of the keyboard. He usually do a lower whistlenote in this song but missed, and instead the D8 came out of his mouth. It was a signal to the aliens I believe. LOL.. Best regards from Norway.

I have listened to a couple of opera singers react to this song. I do not know if they are correct or not but both said he did the up and down motion with the microphone in order to show that he was not lipsynching. You will not find the D8 he sang on the piano because it is not there . Has anyone ever hit a D8 before I wonder ?
