the biggest issue is the resume filtering tbh. 5min after sending your application, you get rejected. it's crazy lol

One of the biggest issues I'm currently seeing aside the skill you need to learn and people letting you have a job understanding you'll get better is that these jobs are in places don't want to move to for a variety of reasons. For example New Mexico, last I checked no one is jumping up and down in joy to go there other than pay of maybe $100k to be there. I understand it's the government and you have to be on base for it but I'd say for alot of folks the primary real reason asides from pay is that they actually wanted a fully remote job. I could care less about getting a $100k if I'm able to make $65k tax free in Thailand or wherever. That's just me though.

Hi Sandra below are my job responsibilities. So if I have to get into CTI or incident response what all courses should I do. My core job responsibilities include: 1) Investigating phishing URLs and reporting them to ISPs, domain owners, or registrars. 2) Analyzing vishing and smishing numbers and shutting them down. 3) Takedown BEC scams.

@@rakilahgful I don't feel like trying to put into words my time at a datacenter so here is chatgpt for you. Here are ten challenges often associated with working in a datacenter: ***Low Pay: Many datacenter roles offer salaries that are lower compared to more specialized technical positions, especially in cybersecurity. Repetitive Tasks: The work can become monotonous, involving routine maintenance and monitoring that doesn’t offer much variety or excitement. On-Call Responsibilities: Employees may be required to be on call for emergencies, leading to unpredictable hours and disruptions to personal life. Limited Career Growth: Advancement opportunities are often constrained, with roles primarily focused on hardware and infrastructure rather than strategic tech roles. ****Lack of Technical Skills Development: Datacenter work may not provide the hands-on experience with security tools and protocols that are crucial for a tech career. Physical Demands: The job can be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy equipment and working in less-than-ideal environments. Isolation from Other Teams: Datacenter staff may work in silos, limiting collaboration with other departments like security, which can hinder skill development. ****Limited Exposure to Cybersecurity: There’s often minimal engagement with cybersecurity challenges, leaving employees unprepared for more advanced tech roles. Bureaucratic Environment: Large datacenters may operate under strict protocols and regulations, which can feel stifling and hinder innovation. High Stress: The pressure to maintain uptime and resolve issues quickly can create a stressful work environment, particularly during outages or failures. These factors can make datacenter positions less appealing for those looking to build a dynamic and rewarding career in technology.
