The launch fluid is very good stuff Jimmy, I done a renault megane start of the year thay wouldnt start but was reading 1400mbar whilst cranking! One bottle of fluid and pretty much identical results to what you've had here. If you put the key card in the slot, car in gear and hold the start button until it says remove card on the dash, the ignition will stay on 👍

The car behind has an interesting white and black speckled paint finish. These DPFs remind me of two strokes with carbonned up baffles /exhaust ports on old motorbikes, using premix.

DPFs are a way for the automotive industry to meet emissions standards. Simple as that. They dont really care if they give your trouble because everybody else needs to have a DPF too 😂

My van has 260,000 & never needed a dpf clean. Keep everything maintained and it will work just fine

@Barry oil is important for all aspects of the engine but most people get dpf issues because they need other repairs that they are ignoring like egr valves, glow plugs, sensors etc

@@ORileysAutos thanks for reply. Been having anti pollution and limp mode faults on a Peugeot 1.6hdi. New egr valve, new fuel filter and finally new glow plugs fitted. Took for a 30 min drive at 3500 revs on motorway, fault gone for time being lol. 200,000 miles on her, great car apart from this recent issue. Thanks again

My Qashqai diesel has 330,000 kms on it now, still with the original dpf that has never required cleaning. But I use my car for long runs, not a short trip to shops or schools that kill dpfs. Why do people buy diesels for short journeys? Get a petrol car, an EV or just walk.

Is your procedure still to leave the fluid as is sprayed in for around 30 min before starting up the car or do you start the car right away after injection?

you need to change the glow plugs. so there is no regeneration.

I find with stuff like bm’s and transits one thing fooked means the dp f won’t clear , example the glow plug relay on a bmw m57 goes bad the dpf wont regenerate , the dpf gets blamed so it gets changed then does it again . Transit if one glow plug goes bad it’ll still start good but dpf wont regenerate so again same thing … Jus sayin’ 🥷🏿🍀
