I remember watching this as a teenager, and loving this scene because of the music and of course the little conversation they have at the end of the scene before going to bed together... I was immensely pleased and surprised when the TV series used this same song during the montage of scenes at the end of the series finale. I saw the first film when I was about 10 years old, I'm 42 now, and Highlander (the franchise as a whole) is still one of my top 3 favorite fictional universes.

Much of the mix-ups in this movie hint at the lives these characters live through hundreds of years of experience and travel. I have always wondered about Sean Connery's character. He was called The Spaniard, spoke with a Welsh accent, dressed like a French fop, and carried a Japanese katana with a carved ivory dragon handle. What did that man live through to gather those vastly different elements into a single life?

Zeithri Adrian Paul took half of season 6 off 2 do 1 of the movies. Major miscalculation. Once they killed Richey off at the end of season 5, I had no interest in it. Bad enof they killed off Darius in the 1st season, which I liked that character & woulda like 2 c more of that 1 played out, but then killed off Tessa. I almost quit then. Richey's death meant there wouldn't b a spinoff with him in it, whole time it first aired, I was expecting that til his death, & meant all the original characters but Macs was gone. Wasn't the same anymore.

Watching this scene again makes me appreciate Highlander 3, Especially compared to the awful Star Wars sequel trilogy, In my Opinion, Highlander 3 had its storytelling together compared to the Star Wars sequel movies, In this particular scene that I loved - I must thank the KZbinr Tomas Tree for posting this - We have the story of Macleod forging his new sword, Chris Lambert & Deborah Kara Unger tell this part of the story wonderfully, With the help of a good screen play by Brad Mirman, William Panzer, And Gregory Widen, This "Story within a Story" here Is shown In an entertaining way, The music was excellent also, It was by Lorena Mckennitt and Her band, I know one song was Bonny Portmore, And the other song was Instrumental music parts of the song "The Two Trees" If memory serves me correctly. Anyway, I love Highlander 3, I love Lorena Mckennitt, And I particularly love this part of the film, I wish the writers Mirman, Panzer, And Widen were writing the Star Wars sequel trilogy, I think that they would have done a better job. I would say Connor wasn't paying too much attention when Mako was teaching him how to make his own Katana 👍
@Asertix357
@Asertix357 2 жыл бұрын
Well he was very frustrated on his first attempt. It was only when he saw Mako's mark on the ingot, that he got himself calmed down enough to properly remember what he was doing. He didn't want is friend's gift to go to waste in a fit of frustration.
@donaldstinnett5630
@donaldstinnett5630 9 ай бұрын
The metals he'd been using were inferior, and resulted in inferior swords which Connor threw away in frustration. When he got the special metal bar, originally made by Mako, he knew he had the right metal, forged and folded all those centuries before. That's when he made a worthy successor to the original katana.

Only if thay had more better producer with little more seriouse story and details .This thema could be one of the best ever made on Film cinema . Actor is born for this rolle Cristopher Lambert was so intresting actor . he had something in the eyes and the voice also . He carry on the Rolle and brought something spetial with his character .But unfortunatly never had luck to work with seriouse producents .
