Hmm, favorite sight...so tough to choose! This gives new meaning to being like the kid in a candy store ..with seemingly unending splendor every single video! If I had to pick a spot in this one it would probably be the Kylesku Bridge. And I know you mentioned how the day started as a fail but those silver linings aren't so hard to find out there ! Eeek, close call with the hair dryer! No danger of fires with such gadgets over here...I think you can surmise why LOL. Another episode teeming with excellence guys!!!

Our favourite spot? Sango Sands - visited there in 2019 in a hire van while doing the NC500 and that trip was enough to convince us to buy our own motorhome and visit more of our beautiful country.

Sango Sands was absolutely rammed when we went, queued out the gate in the morning haha such a beautiful spot, we would have loved to stay there! That is very much the same as us, ever since we toured it a few years back we have been excited to explore more of Scotland 😁

Great Vlog as usual, have recently found your channel and have enjoyed catching up with you. Your editing is perfect imo, not over edited like some of the vanlife vlogs, just natural, some seem to have to fill theirs with what they are cooking, how to cook it and even plug a cookbook they plan to bring out!? Will definitely be having one of your travel books, we would love to do the NC500 in our motorhome, the only thing that does put me off that it always appears so busy and finding parkups can be a pain? Would you recommend this time of year or is there a time that would be less busy? I fancy September but I think loads of people go on the route then! Keep things going and don’t change!

Done the NC500 a couple of years ago in dougalthecampervan, definitely preferred the West Coast section . We got an extra battery built into the camper,so now when we drive , all three batteries charge simultaneously and we can go off grid for about 4-5 days without worrying too much about flat batteries.

Yeah its a shame we had to do the west in winter, but it was going to be too busy to do first so we had to drive anticlockwise 😊 looking forward to going back in summer and smashign out some hills!

We're planning on buying a motorhome next year and the NC500 is the first trip I want to take. I love your videos, your presenting style, the fact that you show all aspects of living in a motorhome. How long is your motorhome? Wondering how big we can go for comfort and still negotiate those narrow winding roads.

This was the first trip we did in Pam the Van (feel free to look us up) and we did it in 10 days. Far too quick - this needs a good 3 - 4 weeks to get the most out of and that's one of next year's goals.

We so want to do the NC 500 and explore scotland next year. So beautiful. How do you find signal and wifi for working?
@highlands2hammocks3 жыл бұрын
Would recommend either April or September then mate as it will a LOT quieter then. Can't even imagine the chaos of the peak season haha April/May is the most beautiful time of year for Scotland anyway. The signal was patchy, but very easy to find. We didn't have any problems uploading videos and working every day 😊

Hari OM As a world traveller too, I can but agree that this Bonny Land can hold itself high on the beauty stakes! The scenery never fails to remove the breath - even in the rain (or is that the buffeting of the wind???)!!! Any plans to come down round the Cowal and Argyll? Now, you really do need to look up the RoyPow pocket starter! (It comes with jump leads)... YAM xx
@highlands2hammocks3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Always the same story, travel the world just to realise the best lies at your back ❤️😊 We will definitely be heading dow that was as well, any recommendations? 😁
@yaminthegrey3 жыл бұрын
@@highlands2hammocks Hari Om - there are over 150 trails in Argyll and Bute, so could do worse than just do a search on that. (I have a couple of favoured websites, but have discovered that even putting links in the full written form tends to disappear my comments, so I can only hint... put in All and then Trails then search on that site for Argyll...I also recommend the Wild About Argyll site -written as one word - and select for Cowal.) But here close my Hutch (Dunoon) there's enough to keep anyone busy for a good wee while. Notable are Pucks Glen and Bishops Glen. Then there's the promenade all the way from Hunters Quay ferry terminal to the south end of West Bay... if you choose to do that we'll have to arrange a meet and greet!!! YAM xx

@highlands2hammocks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😁 glad you enjoyed it! We used an Impax 1500w generator and it works a treat! Not very loud, if we put it on the other side of the van and walk 15m away you cant hear it over the wind. Highly recommend as a good backup!
