I love that Elizabeth said this to Nathan. But I feel that she has some explaining to do about her past hurtful, nasty comments to Nathan. She needs to ask for his forgiveness for the way she treated him in the past. He must have really loved her to remain her friend after she did what she did. He must have known she was doing it out of fear. So, he stayed her friend and showed her the man that he is in a gentle manner by remaining her friend.

I was behind several episodes so I am extremely happy that Nathan is back in the picture. I was team Lucas but since they aren't real people it doesn't make sad and to have a THIRD love story for the main character is a great surprise

I have said this so many times the writers have treated Nathan Grant in a very disrespectful way its high time the man Nathan Grant took Elizabeth in his arms and just kiss her. Its high time Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton apologize to Nathan for the dishonest nasty things she has said to him in the past and move forward. But its just à télévision show and its up to the writers but enough already give Nathan a wife who is honest and indépendant as well as intelligent.

Her heart broken?? Mmmmm, there were hearts brokem by E's lies for how many seasons and episodes???? I know who deserves an apology!!! Elizabeth owes an apology to Lucas!! If the men were switched and Elizabeth chose Mathan 1st and then broke off the engagement and wemt for Lucas, I'm sure the Nathan fans would be livid and pretty ticked pff!! In fact, your attitude towards Elizabeth's character would have changed. You'd totally be disappointed with her dragging you through how many seasons and episodes believing they were gonna get married and then abruptly end their engagement!! You'd be extremely ticked!!

To me, it was obvious that they had brought in a young handsome Mountie to replace Jack, who then became close to Elizabeth, in order to develop a new love story between the two. It is classic Hallmark-the chemistry, the buildup, the drama(like bringing in Lucas to stir things up. They had even done this before with her and Jack), the resolution, and then happy ever after. It is how they do romances in the hallmark movies. Even on WCTH, it is how they do other couples, we know they are going to be together and just watch the romance unfold. I think they overplayed the triangle with these 3. It is an excellent story if you look at it in the long run-a young widow has another Mountie come into her life and surprisingly began to have feelings for him but fear the risky life of a Mountie. And though her heart is with him, she thinks of the hurt (“It would hurt too much if I lost you the way that I lost Jack” season8) and her son in case she was unable to cope so, she made a decision with her head and chose Lucas. Tried to make it work, but her heart was in another place. She ended up hurting Lucas but at least she broke it off before she married him and THEN recognize her mistake. I have always felt that there is a great love out there for Lucas but E wasn’t it. Now, with the storyline Nathan fans were seeing, yes, if they had not dragged the triangle on for so long and had wrapped the romance up in traditional Hallmark fashion, and she had chosen N then broke it off to go to L, the Nathan fans would indeed be upset. Because it would not have made sense. BUT, had the storyline been written different, say Lucas from the beginning had been the one who was shy but attracted to E, had spent time really talking about every day events and working life issues out, but at the same time, an undercurrent of romance and attraction, but Nathan was sure of himself, giving her elaborate dates, and lavish compliments (and we must remember, E left all that behind to come to a frontier town and teach), I am pretty sure that present day Nathan fans would have been Lucas fans instead (because of how the story was written). As it stands, the way the story was written, it made sense for her to face her fears and come to where her true heart was. I am saying this as a person who thinks both these men are great but the way the story was written, it made more sense for E to be with N in the end. E never brought out in L the kind of emotion I believe he has in there. His great love will do that and it is going to be a wonderful story to see unfold.

Disappointed the writers don't give Nathan more of a confident backbone towards Elizabeth. She has given him all kinds of signs but his fear controls him. It's time to act like a man. Jacks character would not let this carry on this long without telling her. Loved the rest of the show.

Elizabeth has given Nathan the heave-ho, given mixed signals for awhile. No wonder Nathan is wondering. E is a flirt that while engaged to Lucas, she rushes to Nathan, cries she cant handle it, then goes back to Lucas. I hope Lucas finds a mature love with someone & think Nathan is crazy to accept her back.

If I was Nathan, after the season 8, I would be rather slow to open myself up totally to Elizabeth. Especially after she said she was trying to find Jack in him. I mean, we all knew she was actually running away from him out of fear. Her heart really was with Nathan but in her fear, her head chose Lucas and tried to make a go of it. I think he is right to protect his heart AND protect Allie who was hurt as well.

Of course he would be in Jack’s shadow. I hate this storyline. Her and Jack’s love was so strong and loving. Her and Lucas’s love was exciting and passionate. Her and Nathan have none of that. It’s like she’s settling because she already had two great loves. Boring!
