Chusovitina is incredible. Still performing at the highest level at 40 years of age. I have so much respect for her. She's married with a 12 year old son and still at this level of gymnastics, I think she deserves a special reward for the kind of dedication she has shown. Incredible.

The code for vault needs to be changed ASAP. As long as you have a high difficulty, if you sit it down you can still win.

I have the same impression. As long as you have a really high difficult vault you may just skip the horse in the execution and go straight to the position :-( Sometimes you get to see some real bad executions being highly rewarded because of the difficulty.

A Coll not all gymnasts can do that vault.. it's a very hard vault, but I also agree, if you can't stick the landing why even perform it? It's kind of like cheating your way to the top for gold in my opinion..

Daniele Hypolito's floor routine gave me goosebumps... To do a floor routine to "Erlkönig" (even a modernized remix)... I don't even care that she had a few faults, it was perfection. But then, that is a poem and music that always gives me goosebumps and makes me teary-eyed, so that might have helped. But Hypolito performed so WELL to it! Her routine was dangerous and explosive and difficult and breathtaking!

Russian can not because many of them used doping so they can't participate in many sports. Every sport decide if they will allow them to participate. But I don't know if that other countries didn't participate because of bad conditions in Rio or for some other reason.

I've seen questions about why no Americans, Canadians, etc. - this is not the actual Rio olympics - it was published back in April. As they're calling it a test event, I'm guessing it's a regional qualifier? The US has their own, as would the larger countries?

I looked this up and from what I read I'm quite sure test events are just qualifying events. I read that around 350 ish competitors compete in the test events to try to secure a spot in the actual Olympics to represent their countries and all that. So just think of it as qualifying rounds for the individual events I would say.
