Stafford finally got to do what Stafford does, only this time with reward. It was an absolute pleasure watching him is his element in every game. One of the greatest QB talents to ever play the game and it's taken 12 years for someone to notice. It's a shame, but what a relief. I'll change my allegiance back to the Lions when they get a new owner.

Grand Rapids Michigander here & I had NO problem with Staff wanting out of the D after 3HC's a 4th to come, 4OC's and 5QBC's. At 33 he gave all he could to Detroit and got nothing in return, I was happy to see him prove all his NAY sayers wrong...especially that Bill Simonson.

That was the thing when he was with Detroit. He took chances and made great plays, but taking chances can lead to mistakes. The Lions didn't have a team that could overcome mistakes consistently. The offense was rarely the problem.

@@hesomelo5910 O'Dell will be out for a big portion of the season and I doubt woods will be healthy enough to start the season, maybe start him in October. Van should get more chances to shine so hopefully he keeps improving.

Lots of shmucks like to talk only about Stafford's picks, but none of them will ever talk about his TD%, which was the 2nd highest in the league in 2021, behind Rodgers, who watched most of the playoffs from his couch. Yeah, Brady had two more TDs, but with a ridiculous 118 more passing attempts and threw nearly a full point lower in TDs per attempt than Stafford.
