Because they’re only an U17 squad playing against 1st teams.

@@chriso1300 They're approx the same age! South Africans U17 are under 17 on the 1st of January, because the school year runs jan to dec. In the Northern hemisphere, the school year runs sept to august so the Irish U18 have to be under 18 on the 1st of September. Most of the Irish boys would be classed as u17's if they were Saffas. So there's little difference in the ages.

Further SA Schools are unmatched in the world as long as a team is selected on merit. The DNA re the size of Afrikaner boys is unmatched in the world, there are exceptions therefore the comment is in general.

@@louisvanniekerk2612 Interestingly, once you get to the 1st major competition that applies a common age qualification, world rugby's u20 championship South Africa have only won once and got to the final twice.
