I'm not blaming refs for the Slovak loss. We lost it due to our terrible defense. But I just don't understand how the second German goal was allowed and the Czech goal in the evening game was disallowed. It's frustrating that the referees on WC are so inconsistent again. In case of the German player, he was in the crease BEFORE the puck got there and then made contact with the goalie TWICE. This goal is OK according to the referees even after a challenge. In case of the Czech player, he made a very slight contact with the goalie and he was arguably not interfering with the goalie making the save. That goal is overturned. Makes no sense.

I am blaming the refs, these "mistakes" can turn the momentum of the game, and are very important because today´s hockey is very close and even the smallest things matter. And "they" are perfectly aware of this. It used to be more subtle in the past, but now its very obvious on whose side "they" are on. Its silly and ridiculous, but most importantly it is not fair.

@@mc1251 The czech player stepped on the leg of the Finnish player, the German player didn't. And also, before the first goal Germany was the better side, Slovakia was really lucky that Germany didn't scored several goals in the first third. Slovaika funny enough only came in the game after the second German goal. You also can't blame the refs for the not given Slovakian goal, it was clear offside. The sad part here is more then the refs didn't see it during the game and needed the video ref.

@@hans8372 OK maybe SVK would have lost anyway, but how can we know when the referees are not fair? And yes not all calls were bad, but the referee clearly favoured one team, and one bad goal is enough to ruin the game, not to mention the weird penalties. Have you ever done any sports? How would you cope as a player with the fact that the referee is against you? And would you still say these things if GER was hurt by the refs? (year after year, not just in this game...)

For 10 years we have been shaming luck and referees for loosing. Its time to stop. We allowed 3 stupid goals (2-0, 3-2, 5-3). How is it possible that german scores ALL ALONE into empty net in 5on5 and four Slovak players are on the other side of DZONE. These are the kind of questions we have to ask and not blame everything on refs. Lets hope our defense gets better in coming games 🇸🇰

Although it might not look like it at first, this was a really close match. We (slovaks) messed it up with the two unnecessary penalties at the half point of the match. However, the referees are either stupid or blind or maybe both. Firstly, they allowed an obviously illegal goal (the first German one), where there was obvious goalie intereference, and even after video review, they still didn't see it somehow. Also, the most obvious high stick right after the Slovak 3rd (legal) goal was not called, causing the Slovaks to lose a player without any penalties for the Germans. All in all fair play to the Germans honestly, you played well, but the referees made this really close game into a not so close one. Without the bad calls, I think this would've dragged into the overtime.

@@pat-2024 Bro literally closed the goalkeeper from the other half of the net. Then you look at FIN-CZE, and that was a no goal even though it was the same scenario and actually even less severe. These referees better start making good calls or at least stay consistant on their normal calls cuz you can't just deny or count the goals based on your opinion. The player was clearly standing with both skates on the goal crease.
