The highway pass in Turkey is a must and the payment is automatic. The number plate gets scanned as you go through and they just deduct the credit from the account. if you do not have the pass, you have 15 days to get one or you'll get fined 10 times the original cost of the toll fee. I never got one for a bike, as far as I know its about half the price. The pass is called HGS, you can get it from the post office or from HGS stations on the motorway, the problem is there aren't many of those stations.

Yeah camping is sure fun every now and than. What you don’t see is the the many hours we spend working. And camping makes work a little harder too, this is why we prefer air bnbs, guest houses and hotels over camping every day. But there will be camping this summer for sure

Ich schreibe mal auf Deutsch weil es für mich so einfacher ist. Die Vignette nennt sich HGS Etiket und diese kann in PTT Filialen gekauft werden. Diese Sticker sind prepaid, d.h. sie werden nur einmal gekauft und müssen dann aufgeladen werden. Das Aufladen geschieht ebenfalls in den PTT Filialen gegen Moneten. Es gibt zwar auch eine App mit online Bezahlfunktion, die ist aber eher für Einheimische weil die nur türkische (!) Bankdaten akzeptiert, zumindest war es letztes Jahr so. Man braucht es nicht nur für Autobahnen sondern auch für diverse Brücken in Istanbul. Das Abbuchen erfolgt dann automatisch an den Schranken an der Autobahn und es wird auch angezeigt wieviel abgebucht wurde. Frag bei PTT auch nach deinem Bike, ich glaube du bekommst keinen Sticker sondern eine Karte im Kreditkartenformat.
