When Tim wrote this he was working as a song writer, wrote the most hackneyed song he could think of 'cuz he didn't want to write country songs. He later advised people "not to get in their own way" as he had. Avi Kaplan makes 3 cameos: 1) his is the hand that sets down the champagne glass in the bar; 2) he passes in front of them, and 3) he's sitting on the bull at the back of the bar. #HomeFree

Tim wrote this song before he joined Home Free. it is a funny long story how and why he wrote it Tim could have easily been a comedian.. The cowboy in black is Avi Kaplan. He was the bass for Pentatonix at this time. This video was shot soon after Home Free won The Sing-Off. Avi was in the video Ring of Fire. which was shot at the same time. He then made a cameo in this video which was shot immediately afterward Ring of Fire. If you look carefully, you can see Avi on a mechanical bull past the guys in the last shot.

Hahaha…yeah Tim’s dry wit makes him the best comedian. He is usually the spokesman for the group in concerts and is so funny. Fun thing about this song. Years agoTim’s boss in LA wanted him to write a country song and he didn’t want to but the boss insisted so he went home, got drunk and wrote this song in one night hoping it would fail but of course it’s one of his biggest hits. Hahaha. That guy that appeared in the video near the end was Avi Kaplan, the other bass in Home Free’s video of Ring of Fire. They had filmed it the day before and he hung around with the boys and made a cameo in this one. Such a fun song. Love the lyrics, “I won’t see her pretty face at all, since the prison’s no where near the mall”. Hahaha. Gotta love it! Good one boys.🤣😂

Avi ( bass singer who sang with Pentatonix) sang with Home Free in Ring of fire has the cowboy hat on that he put on near the end of the ring of fire song. You have to go see our guys in concert. Why? Because the concerts are just as fun as the song. Tim is the M.C. and has everyone laughing in between songs and get everyone to sing along when asks and tell you to join them for a beer but doesnt tell you where at. Wonder how many went looking for them. For more fun watch the video "Brother" Adam Rupp is responsible for the concept and it is funny. Short video but I think I watch it everyday.

They had just finished filming Ring of Fire with Avi Kaplan and Avi was there just hanging out with his buddies. I guess maybe he decided on the walkthrough on the spur of the moment and no one bother to tell Tim. Typical for the BTS highjinks of filming a Home Free video.
