It is very much so bluesy rock and roll. Dude acting like you are some sort if stupid for suggesting it is in fact the idiot himself. He uses fucktwat. H.s. is like this beautiful experiment in self exploration , rock and roll in its purest sense when they are at there best is usually the moments found between a drug induced binge and the following inevitable crash that will follow.. its a shame, because this music is so good I just know one of them has got to die.

@@abcjz Same, but if I were to levy a single criticism at the band is that I hear more hits in there in songs like "Serotonia" if they'd just trim the fat some, or maybe do a radio edit version without the additional meandering (which I personally like). I know, crucify me for suggesting that but this is coming from a guy that used to listen to 2112 and Yngwie songs that are 12 minutes long. "Mama" is guilty of this too and several others. "Hello...Human", "Little One" and "Lydia" are more concise (and perfect to me).

I recognized the band name from that friend...and the hair stood up as soon as I heard the guitar solo. The whole song blew me away, but that David Gilmour-esque sound in the solo...I found myself rewinding to the beginning of just the solo 10 times in a row, each time I listened to it. I then ventured through the rest of their music and I was sold. It was true and new, and I keep coming back for more.

This is the first song I've heard from HS. And damn this is such a beautiful song. And even though I personally have limited myself from doing drugs. Too much of my family and friends have gone through it. And I can feel their struggle through this. And even I can connect to it on a weird level. Where instead of drugs it's my own self-destructive addictions. But damn the guitar. The lyrics. The just true raw feeling and emotion. Definitely have won over a new fan

I just wanted to give the band mad respect for your combined talents. I'm a lifelong music fan, and I do my best to keep up with what's happening musically from decade to decade. The music of the past is often a safe fall back in an age of auto tune, and polished, fabricated music that's played ad nauseum on radio. And then a band like HIGHLY SUSPECT appears, and you shatter the jadedness born of contempt and boredom. You give me hope, and inspire me with what you have to communicate musically, and the way in which you communicate it. Johnny, keep on keeping on; you're doing "gods" work. I like to say that "wherever you go, there you are." You can change zip codes, and relationships; but until you delve into your darkness, feel that pain at the deepest level..and let that shit go, you will always be a victim of someone else's weakness and neuroses. Your music tells me you're putting distance between you and the past, and making solid choices for yourself. All the best to you and the band, always have each others backs.
