"I like to dream because dreams don't lie" Infact dreaming is one of my favorite things to do. Mine are always so extremely vivid. We often say that real life is real and dreams aren't. But what's the difference? Both states of consciousness rely on the mind's perception of what's real. Wolf is a song about dreams, but it's also a song about my real life, which reads very much like a dream. Not in a good way or a bad way, but our journey expands, I make less and less distinction between what was once only possible when I was asleep, and what's possible now when I'm awake. It all flows. It's also a salute to my youth and To those I've had to let go. "I was born to rock and now I gotta roll" This song is structured like a dream too. Ever changing and unpredictable. And at the end you "wake up"

I want to know what anyone or everyone if at all possible, thinks this song is really about. My two year old niece drowned and this song was stuck on my fucking head during the funeral...it was surreal feeling and honestly having this song stuck in my head kinda helped me get through it. The amount of crying and anguish I was experiencing during that dark time was sooo goddamn loud that it was nice to have something else to counter. This whole album was something outer worldly and the emotional lows that it has gotten me through is insane. Thank you guys for making music that a person can truly feel.

Johnny gets all kinds of publicity for his "dreamy" looks and his great, unique voice. But he's wildly underrated IMO for his guitar work. He has a sensibility about his playing that's a little different than pretty much everything you hear now. I hear a definite nod to Floyd/Gilmour in some of it, like this tune -- and that's a fantastic thing.
