One day I'll make/see one of these shows where the protagonist reincarnates within the body of the evil character/her younger self and at the end, pull a bait and switch with the evil personality resurfacing and saying something like "Did you really think you could live and take MY life ?" And then she would do evil stuff abusing the relations made along the way as the isekai'd personality tries to take back control but is in immense pain seeing what she worked towards crumble. My mind has horrible thoughts but I genuinely think the concept is interesting.

There is a LN with a similar premise. The protagonist winds up sharing the body with the villainess and the original personality is there but has opted to see what the protagonist does to better her life. However trouble begins happening when the doom flag events start happening even though they shouldn't be able to. Turns out the game's heroine had been taken over by another reincarnated and has spent her time undoing all of the protagonist's good will because it clashed with the version of the game she played. This ordeal traumatizes the protag into a coma forcing the villainess to reassert herself and get revenge on the heroine who is literally trying to get them both killed. While the heroine has the royal capital and all the love interests backing her up, the villainess knows where all the side quests and story + treasure/allies can be found to even the playing field. I think it's called "The One within the Villainess".

Even when these stories seem kind of interesting, like the "In Love with the Villainess" one, the fact that there's even a story to be told kind of kills a lot of my interest in them. I mean, if you reincarnate as the villain of a story BEFORE the villain has done anything villainous, avoiding the fate of the villain is laughably easy. Just...don't do anything villainous. Hell, I'll do you one better; completely avoid whatever situation puts the protagonist into contact with the love interests so as to avoid getting swept up into the bullshit that comes with the dating game's plot. It's that easy. There's no reason for any grand overarching plan, or to spend a significant amount of time worrying about the fate awaiting them when all you need to do to avoid said fate is NOT be a villain. If the isekai protagonist had been put into the body after the villain had already started doing villainous things, that would be a different story - but these stories always put the isekai protagonist in control when the villain is a child, long before they have a chance to start being a villain. EDIT: In this story specifically, it's also really annoying that the protagonist feels guilt for the actions of the villainess. The villainess is gone. She doesn't exist anymore. You blipped out of her existence, and you didn't do any of the things she did, so you do not get to feel guilty about it.

The bottom line here is that the MC is paranoid about herself. And the people she's interacting with aren't gonna be able to understand her dilemma anytime soon because they're nothing more but the non-existent people who came to life in the novel she read.

Also I have to add this after watching the anime Rosa is a terrible mother she saw how evil Pride was going to become and choose to just raise Tiara to pretty much be the light for the country. Pretty much making her a second Rosa I can understand why Pride would become evil her own mother rejected her before she even turned 2 seeing she would become evil and instead of trying to help Pride grow and understand she abandoned her leaving Prides father to handle Pride. And Pride even says her father was her pride (no pun intended) and joy. So it wasn’t like Pride couldn’t love cause she loves her dad but losing him after awakening her ability and then her mother. Then Gilbert and his asshole nature didn’t help criticizing Pride and even telling Tiara right infront of Pride that she should have been Queen all of the nobility saying how much Tiara looks like Rosa. Pride was pretty much dealt a shitty hand from the start Pride had no proper guidance. And then Rosa only started giving Pride attention after the other girl took over Prides life to be better then Rosa started guiding Pride. So really I blame Rosa for all the bad shit that happened
