We saw G3 in Detroit at the Filmore. Satriani is good, Phil was a little over matched but Petrucci was a GOD! The three of them seemed to love playing together. It was a great night.

45 years after, the Made in Japan version is absolutely unbeatable. In fact, any live version by the legendary Deep Purple MkII in those days. Three guitar gods together and they can't even come close to the tone, control, feeling, power and tension of Ritchie Blackmore.

All I see is 3 respected, extremely successful, veteran guitar/hard rock lovers thoroughly enjoying & indulging themselves playing the music that drove & inspired them enuff to pick up their guitars & learn to rock people's balls off!
