Me too. I thought of the same thing. Yes hate screamers etc it makes you scared & jump when you otherwise wouldn't. He makes them enjoyable. He puts you at ease. His laugh & comedic comments love it.

Not the biggest fan of the “this is actually your punishment and you were secretly the bad guy all along” trope personally but despite that I think this one was well done. Interesting visuals and sound despite being the low-poly sort of style.

I guessed pretty early this was a dont drink and drive punishment type. There was a moment when cju turned back, and there was a bunch of beer cases in the back it was a nice touch that each time you turned back, it was like a lil glimpse of the reality. I think our guy killed the fam from the beginning, and this was his purgatory

I really liked Dante's motto at 26- 'Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.' That was the part that solidified that yep, this is it, there's nothing to be done. All in all, a really solid horror experience, and as always, a delight to experience horrors with CJU!

I loved this game! Very entertaining and that first time the car door was opened, and then when man first appeared on the back seat were both genuinely startling moments. Does anyone else think that the deceased family were really cute? The little girl and the Dad were adorable. Really well played and commentated, Chris. You have a knack for reading a game straight off the bat and knowing when it wants you to see the humour in the situations it puts you in. Thank you, really enjoyed this playthrough. x

The "right" side of the road depends on where the devs are from, no? the steering wheel is on the left... Also when you "wake up" the car is in the lane on the right... so you could have avoided the collision, perhaps?

This was fantastic! The atmosphere was so tense omg- and it reminded me SO MUCH of "Burgers and Frights". I think you played it back in 2022 and this game feels very similar to that! With the driving, the environment, the "lesson" to be learned the very hard and scary way. Amazing! EDIT: Ahhhh you noticed the similarities yourself 😂

Okay no joke, I haven't drove a car in like 3-4 years, but today I ended up borrowing a car and spend some time having a casual drive around some empty roads to get a feel of driving a car again. And a few hours later you post a this video. Fun odds that the day I drive a car again is the same day you post a driving horror game playthrough.

i think the can of tuna you can take in the diner is a reference to the movie 'My Cousin Vinny', where in the beginning of the movie, one of the guys accidentally stole a can of tuna fish when they stopped at a gas station, before heading back on the road.

*Spoilers!* So the family of three at the start in the diner and the "soul claimers" were one and the same: the family which the protag killed with his drunk driving. This was all just a Jacob's Ladder on wheels. I'm guessing the tuna needs to be used at the diner somewhere. Sure would be funny if feeding it to a cat opened a good ending or something, lol.

The family in the diner maybe is that family the is haunting you, and the very fast car you saw at the beginning, maybe it was you because of drunk driving. and then the wrecked car you saw when you go to the right road was those family car. IDK about the Tuna and the Bus.

Biggest mystery to me is, where the hell did the main character get a left hand steering nissan skyline R34? And why was there so many Toyota AE86 around the map crashed? Everyone belived they were in the freaking Fujiwara zone?

The moment I saw that car wreck, I instantly thought of Burgers and Frights. Of course, the fact that the wreck was a white car and we were driving a black car made me dismiss this theory. Really fun game overall. I really do wonder what would happen if we turn back in a game like this. Would we get an alternate ending? And would that ending change based upon how far we progressed? Or would the game simply redirect us back towards our final destination?
