One thing I noticed about this TV show is, every actor ends up giving a brilliant performance, however significant or insignificant the part may be. Either it is an excellent work of directing or the brilliance of Michael Landon and Victor French rubbed on them or both!

Jenny was Judy Carmen, formerly Judy Greenburg, who I grew up with since 6th grade in Englewood, Colorado. I had no idea she had passed away. Such a sweet friend. She and I went to our first R rated movie together - a Star is Born - when a very cool couple snuck us in when we were 15. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved theater at our high school, Cherry Creek. I went to her bat mitzvah and remember it well. Rest in Peace, Judy.

Even though I'm 60, I just watched this episode for the first time. And I was a male version of of Jenny here when I was about 10-12. There was a gang of guys on my block a year ahead of me in school who made me afraid to go out-- much less afraid of being beaten up by any of them as hearing their hate-filled threats and knowing I was an excuse for their acting bigshots with each other. I'm not sure we ever really recover from that kind of situation. And I despise myself for never getting the revenge I thought I was due. I was a fat kid, but after getting into jr. high sports for a year, I was no longer. And I had a boxing match with a guy bigger than I was and I knocked him down 3 times before the coaches called it off. Evidently that became widely known, and I heard the ringleader of those guys who made my life miserable was asked about fighting me, and he said "I wouldn't bet on it." Since that situation was no more, maybe I eased off just glad it was over. But for too many years of having a low opinion of myself-- which is why I think I never was able to get a position in my degree field-- I have harbored violent thoughts toward them, and even now would relish the chance to slug them, or worse.

Forgiveness is a very powerful thing in life. Many times we forgive others in our hearts and it actually frees us of past hurts. As long as you are still carrying that hatred and resentment in your heart those bullies still control you. Let it go! Pray for God to help you release those demons from your past. Youve carried them far too long. Life is too short and im sure this burden of unforgiveness you still carry has gotten very heavy. Gods blessings to you. 🙏

I was 21 years old when this series debuted. While not a totally accurate depiction of God's kingdom (human angels is one example), it is a beautiful classic which teaches Jesus' second NT commandment extremely well: love all people. Though the Way is not taught directly, there are hints of Jesus in many places. Even the intro has an obvious cross seen on the highway to the left in the form of a slightly distorted utility pole that makes it look very much like a real cross. I love the storytelling. No such new show can be seen any longer, nor has been in a very long time. Is it any wonder the world reflects this in real life today?! Violence, greed, sexual immorality. You name it. IMHO real life reflects the morals today coming out of Hellywood, not the other way around. If only we had a few Michael Landons and Victor Frenchs around again.

Parents should do that more nowadays..want to be a man, can't live at home. You pay your own rent, cook, clean...be independent. Also, people who are not happy with their weight should stop pretending they are (body acceptance movement), and as Jonathan said, "Do something about it." All those lessons from back then should be revisited now.

Ryan C Hence, the morals of the era need to be revisited. Most people don't have those morals anymore, and it is hurting our society.

This episode hurts, cause Jenny... Jenny is how I felt when all the pretty girls and popular guys bullied me for weight gain that i tried to control. Sports and working out weight pills all of it nothing used to work and being the fat ugly girl amongst all the pretty girls :'( it hurts you know

Been there, done that - fortunately some decades ago, but the guilt of hogging down a dozen Dunkin Donuts and the aftermath of gaining weight still makes me wonder where my brain was. I was messed up. Now just a bad memory.
