I am not Muslim but I want to stand against the racist hatred that is now being spread. I want to wear a hijab as a statement of solidarity wth women everywhere regardless of belief.Would this be offensive. I would hate to try to be supportive but instead be inappropriate? I would like to see a movement of women everywhere wearing hijabs as a statement of support.

+barb moody It is a lovely practice for women and wearing a head covering is actually a CHRISTIAN tradition originating from Judaism. Muslims simply adapted the beautiful tradition. We cover to show reverence toward God, and honor God. As the holy mother Mary did. Everything sacred is veiled, and we honor our heads by veiling before God or in prayer. It can also be worn anytime as a sign of humility before God. It is a great way to show reverence toward God and the sacredness of Women. :) The important thing to remember it that this is done for God.

I am christian, and born in Russia where women often wear babushkas for warmth and tradition. I love the modesty, message, and elegance of a hijab, and I don't know if it is socially acceptable to wear one as someone who is not Muslim. I don't want to offend anyone but I have so much respect for women who have it as part of their lifestyle, and I do love modest fashion and being covered. Would it be socially, religiously, and morally accepted If I were to wear one. Love the video

Christina Taylor Are u really Russian? I live in Estonia, so I have a lot of Russian friends and I know a little bit of Russian language. And I never heard someone use the word babushka, grandma, to refer to a scarf or head covering. Unless you meant to write some babushkas wear a scarf/covering over their head, because that is true. I have mostly only seen old ladies covering themselves in a scarf :P

it's great that you like it, just wear it in winter, it makes you realllly warm, but since you're not a muslim you better take it off in summer, cuz it'not easy wearing hijab in summer especially in hot weather areas

In France it's not allowed at work or at school and there is a lot of discrimination ! Hijab is a big problem for many people :/

French and Belguims rules are the same no niqab in public places and no hijab in schools/work.Yes I think I am moving back to my orginal country... because you're right the rules are really dangerous.And some people harass me!Someone trew a chair at me because he tought that hijab is a disrespect to the western culture!I am sick treated diffrently..

thank you so much for this video .i am not muslim but was in really difficult situation. as i wanted to cover my head with hijab when i been visiting Egypt and as much i was trying it to do my scarf was always flipped over my face:) I can't manage this even i spend 1 hour to do this and then i did show my nice blonde and long hairs for everyone in the streets. And everyone glazed at me like to evil :) because it was not tourism city where i was walking down :).Next time i will learn how to wear hijab.
