This song, besides Bardock's life and Goku's fight against Frieza, makes me think about all of Dragon Ball's history, from the beginning until now, and while I love all the series, I personally think GT would be a good ending for a tribute montage with this song playing (I'm even thinking a good thing would be a GT remake, with new villains, fixed mistakes, set after Super and the end of Z, etc), something like Dragon Ball (1986), DBZ, DBS, Dragon Ball Heroes and/or the movies if you wish so, and finally, DBGT. Another idea would be, at least for AMVs, using this for classic Dragon Ball ships (It sounds like a slow ballad, after all), crossover or not (such as Gohan x Videl, Bardock x Gine, Goku x Usagi/Sailor Moon, Vegeta x Rei/Sailor Mars, etc). You could even use it for a Sonic/Naruto/etc AMV if you wish so (at least for the endings/emotional/epic parts).

he kind of did, but in the past. *Spoilers Alert* it turns out he didn't die against Freeza but was instead some how teleported back in time long before Freeza was ever born, and is the first saiyan to defeat a member of Freeza's family as a Super Saiyan. This is what created the fear of the Super Saiyans Freeza's family secretly worried about, and led to Freeza being annoyed enough to destroy the Saiyans.
