Massive win by Hikaru, in the Italian live comment we were all rooting for Hikaru or Fabiano and every time Hikaru made a mistake or a great move, we were all terrified or amused... definitely a stupendous game, also Fabiano’s defense in the endgame was amazing. Hikaru’s position was just better, and btw I’m so happy he won
@scoutbane16512 жыл бұрын
I'm honestly sad Hikaru won. He played a great game and he deserved the win, but Fabiano is pretty much the only participant I give realistic chances of dethroning Magnus (that has enough points to win the tournament). I mean Nepo could just have a great few games like here, but we saw how much magnus can grind him down. Meanwhile Fabi drew all his games against Magnus and only lost in tiebreak, and he's literally nr 3 in the world, and he has a pretty even record against him in classical. If Nepo wins against Caruana tomorrow it's practically guaranteed Magnus is not getting defeated this year
@varunsingla47182 жыл бұрын
@@scoutbane1651 We all have our bias but fabi is significantly weaker in classical than he was in 2018(Almost 50pts lower rated). Also head to head magnus has always dominated fabi he is 11-5 up in classical. Nepo throughout his career has faced this problem of collapsing in a game and then giving up. Nepo is still only 6-4 down against him but still I would say these past records speak little. None of the candidates have more than 20% chance of defeating Magnus in a 14 game match. If fabi doesn't win candidates for whatever reason then he is simply not the best to face Magnus. Anyways fabi-nepo wch match would be very evenly balanced and exciting than anyone vs magnus tbh.

Man your commentary over these games is simply amazing! So much interest and analysis in every move, energy, and helpful explanation; no one does it better! Thanks for all of the great videos!

I don't comment much but I have to say that you're a talent at chess and at content. Thank you for making these videos. I've also learned lots from watching your videos. I starting playing blitz again after a long break and shot up from 800 to 900. Watching high level content has helped me think about patterns, tactics and chess principles even at my low level.

Nepo straight up only accepts the fights he can win. He didn't wanna fight Ding Liren's Black pieces. Well played

That last 5 minutes is why I subscribe to you and not all those other chess channels. That was excitement!

The last 25-30min of naka vs fabi were insane, fabi was defending for his life man, he was literally putting pressure through his defence dude. absolute lord like patience fabi. But , Hikaru wasn't gonna go home without a win . Absolute masterclass from these super GMs. It was hell of a thriller.
