Wally's kind of hard to beat yeah. Anyone finding the 600 Jimmy harder to beat as of late? Then same day i beat a 2000 level bot. Something doesn't add up
@luckyjc8702
@luckyjc8702 2 жыл бұрын
@@Automotib Not really, but I've been playing too much bot chess probably lately. It's actually quite bad for my chess. Because I would learn certain tricks that only work on bots and subconsciously get used to them, which is bad for human chess. Like for example, vs bots with < 1500 rating, you can usually just trade ASAP and go into an endgame and then shuffle around for 20+ moves, and they would do a blunder eventually and it's ez win. The bots are programmed to have a certain chance of not playing the best move according to rating, so if you go into an endgame, that 1 mistake of losing a pawn can win you the game easily. Versus higher rated bots, it's not great to go into the endgame, because they'll usually just play a perfect endgame and you got no chance. I think Hikaru even mentioned this once in one of his bot speedrun. For me, usually it's better to play super solid vs higher rated bots. If it gets sharp, the bot will spot tactics much better than you, so it's way easier to just keep the position closed and shuffle around until the bot eventually reveals an opening due to that programmed chance of making a bad move. But of course, all of this is only useful knowledge to beat bots. It's useless when you play humans, especially someone around your own rating.
@gibberconfirm166
@gibberconfirm166 2 жыл бұрын
@@luckyjc8702 Check out when Hikaru out-smarted the bot in 2008, it was called "Rybka." Hikaru has some vids talking about it but it's the kind of thing I find fascinating even though I suck at chess.
