44:07 that puzzle is way harder than chess.com made it, it's actually a forced mate in 4 moves which can be easily missed and neither of them saw that the best move for white to defend from mate was not to take rook with knight, but Kg2 attacking the knight, then if queen tries to check on the g file then bishop blocks opening up a flight square so after queen takes bishop the king takes the knight and unless black sees to checkmate with Rh2# and instead plays a queen check (such as Qg3+) then the king escapes to the space previously occupied by his bishop and GG king gets away safely and there is no more forced mate. This is what annoys me about chess.com puzzles, I was sitting there calculating all of this with the video paused thinking "there is no way xQc is gonna see all of this" but then he plays Rxh3 and chess.com goes "yup good enough you mastered this position".
@alexadams546111 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'm still a beginner player and spent forever trying to work out how black could mate if white moved Kg2 instead of Nxh3. Are these puzzles just made to assume most likely move by opponent based on level or something?

@@metappo3879 what you just said is straight up idiotic. people can cheat in 3 minute, ive done it myself. its not hard, most people blunder a few pieces by the time ive used up 2 minutes of engine moves, which turns into an easy win without the engine. you just play whatever you want and hope you dont get a cheater, if you do, usually the cheater is caught and you get your rating points back. dont listen to this guy Edit: most people dont cheat, and you can usually tell when someone is cheating, most cheaters get banned relatively quickly, within a week or so, so dont worry about it.
