Gotham covered it at 13:50 - 15:00 of his own video! From my own look at the engine, cxd5 straightaway is still +2 but yes not as good as h6. Hikaru might have briefly looked at both. (EDIT: oh and Hikaru covers it in 7:20 - 8:10 of his other video)

41:40 Maybe his intuition is so high, that his mind automatically knew that move was beneficial for white and didn’t relay that info directly to him. Cuz the eval bar did not care. Surface level it looks bad but there’s a deeper idea his intuition saw, so his mind didn’t didn’t even light up when considering that pawn being taken could be a bad thing. If he had more time he maybe coulda realized he was better. Which he realizes in a few moves anyway.

Instead of (Not seen by Hikaru), can you put (the best Stockfish move) and make no explanation about the post-production? This would just increase Kramnik’s interest in the video. And then Hikaru would milk more content out of it.

It's because Levy is J-wish. Europeans evolved to have a creepy feeling towards them over centuries of ethnic conflict, it's just natural selection and in-group preference. Actually, European mythological creatures such as goblins and witches are based off the J-wish archetype, like having large hooked noses and such, it is a manifestation of evolutionary warning signs. Sort of like how snakes give people a creepy feeling because they were a major threat to early mammals.

@@freeEnd_I think it’s a nice change to watch with eval and compare, but in general the engine kinda ruins the fun of watching live chess for me. If it makes a top 3 speed chess player ever look like he’s clueless at times, then I don’t think it’s a good tool, esp when his opponents never find the insane engine moves in 15 seconds that would save the game
