Hot Tent Winter Camping In A Snowy Forest

In this video I went hot tent winter camping in a beautiful snowy forest. I love hot tent camping in winter weather! I used my backpack and a sled to carry all my hot tent camping gear on this trip. I got to try out my new Pomoly Stovehut 70 TC hot tent for the first time and it held in a lot of heat! I also brought my Pomoly oven and baked tuna melts and tater tots for dinner. There was about 18 inches (46 cm) of snow when I got to the forest. The temperature was 25°F (-4°C) when I started setting up camp and dropped to 15°F (-9.5°C) overnight. I was hoping for snow but unfortunately it never happened. I still enjoyed the ambiance of beautiful snow and a perfectly calm forest! Thank you for watching this video! Wonder how hard it would be to make some bread in that bad boy. Also with that, you could prep a small pan of lasagna and freeze it for the pack in, then just take it out when you get on site to thaw some then bake it in the oven.

I did arrive early. There isn't a lot of daylight this time of year so I have to get moving quick! That stove was perfect for cooking!

I used my stove hut 70 for the first time this weekend. I loved it, just the right size for one person or I can add my wife if I had to. I was able to sit inside in my chair as well. Definitely gonna use it a lot this winter. I wish it had sides for the awning or even the ability to close off the awning, that would put it over the top.
