They are different generations of filters ac is the newest version aa which you think is the fake is the oldest version of that style of filter

I would inspect all. They fake everything these days. At least pretty easy to notice the poor finish.

Glad someone made a video, Iv been posting about this on some groups. 16.99 for 3 filters is too good to be true but you know you gotta try. Instantly knew they were fake. As soon as I asked the seller the reply is “so sorry we will tell our supplier”. Thing is 3 different sellers gave me this same answer. I wonder how many people end up actually using them and not knowing since I see tons of good reviews. Can’t trust anything

I installed and used one and it leaked. I had never had a Mopar filter. Do that before. Also, the printing on the filter body was very light and not typical resolution. Not only that, my motor started running really crappy. I checked the oil and it was sludge. I immediately changed it and then ran it for about 200 mi and changed it again. But you're right, $17 for three filters come on. I'm surprised Amazon doesn't come down hard on these at resellers

I didn't know the difference. I kind of suspected it on my Mopar spin-on filter as the printing was really light and the filter was turning my motor oil to Gunk after only 500 mi. So I switched brands all together. It's hard when you buy from Amazon cuz you never know what they send you

yeah man. its sad what they are doing. too good of a deal probalby fake. i avoid ebay and amazon for these things now. same thing i noticed with knock-off spark plugs NGK etc.

@@HowToWithLech I just ordered some Bosch plugs. Oh no. Thing is I just put a new engine in my Grand Cherokee. They're not Rock bottom price spark plugs, but they're not the most expensive either. If they even look halfway. Phony I'm returning them

The bogus Mopar filters the seal leaked. I was getting drips in my garage. I'm like where the heck is this coming from my truck started running like crap and this oil turned to sludge in no time. I'm using the fram ultra synthetic filter and now after almost a thousand miles, the oil is still nice and clear. Which is typically how that Chrysler 47 is. It's very clean engine

Yea ... don't put garbage in your garbage car. Probably can't do any harm that FCA hadnt already done to a POS Jeep-Dodge-Chrysler-Ram.
