In a way, Moon has this nostalgic comfy vibe to it. This may sound pretty corny, but Moon is like playing threw your childhood all over again, you first feel weird and unfamiliar with this world, but the more you live there, the more you become capeable, growing up in a way, becoming attached to these strange yet charming characters, spreading that kindness people need in their life. It truly is a game full of heart, as well as one of a kind experience.

This video is dedicated to all the creators who create with HEART This was a perfect encapsulation of Love-De-Lic, the OG indie dev who dared to do something different. I can't tell you how much I want the world to know about Kimura-san. His games have that heartful quality that's not found anywhere else. Buy their games, support Games with Heart Edit - spellings

moon is a game that im still surprised that we got an official english release. if there is 1 thing i can give modern gaming some credit is that a lot more of these kind of games have a better chance to come out officially. thats cool that some of the same people also worked on the tingle game and i also saw they did the game endonessia on PS2 wish is one i randomly found out about a year ago wish looked interesting. great coverage on this one

Aw, that was a good one. Hikiko. I can’t believe there’s even a Rule of Rose connection!?! Thanks for sharing your wisdom. I want to play Moon! I need to get a Switch asap
@12ealDealOfficial2 жыл бұрын
If you primarily play Japanese games, it's the best console available currently. While the PS4 and might get a tentpole release once or twice a year, the Switch quietly gets hit after hit every season. Highly recommended, even more so that a next gen console for the time being.

Moon is actually on Steam now, so you don't even need a switch anymore.

Did you see the 24 killers demo in the steam nextfest? It's very sweet, incredibly faithful to the spirit of moon with a bit of hylics in the visuals but the developer seems completely invisible, funding their stuff by making clay figurines and potted plants.

0:59 Hey is that The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers? Nice pickup. I definitely remember the interview with Kimura, his brush with death, intense stuff. Another fun bit of trivia regarding Moon Remix RPG's official release is that it was translated by Tim Rogers, a guy that worked at Grasshopper Manufacture for a few years. I recommend checking out his Kotaku video interview with Suda, they get very strange when they're in the same room.

Hey!, I watched this one. You do such a great job of conveying your appreciation and passion for this game that I found myself starring at the purchase button in the Nintendo eShop... Alas, I am not a patient man and went back to street fighter.

So I bought moon a few months ago, I was a bit on the fence about it, I really enjoyed the story and world and such, but I was trying to 100% it and all and it was driving me insane. I lost like 3 hours of play because I hadn't saved in awhile and I just unlocked the fast travel... not knowing you cannot go back into the exit flowers to go back to the house. It really got me upset since I only have limited time as an adult to play games, but then I kinda realized "oh maybe that's the point, the game is telling me to not play it, it's meta WoOoO~" and thought about trying to get a refund. This video has blown my fucking mind because you compared it to Chibi Robo, a game I hold very dearly in my heart and now that I have that connection, I think it's worth giving another try.

I want this game now. It has a game loop that reminds me of another nearly-unknown title named Chulip - in that, you go around trying to get kisses(chu chu) from people(and robots and other oddities), which causes the story to progress and new areas to open up.
@HikikomoriMedia7 ай бұрын
well it's made by the same developers. I believe I even included Chulip later in this video

fun fact! there was originally a run button but it was removed in the final release because they figured that going too fast around the map would ruin the vibe

Moon is a good game, no doubt about that, but i feel that games like Radiata Stories and Chulip really expanded on the whole feel of realism when it comes to npc schedules. Chulip, particularly, feels like a straight up remix of Moon with Ufo, a day in the life, where there are the regular town residents, and there are the "underground" residents, that act like what could be a way to get more exp to advance the story.

I have owned this game on my Switch since it was released in English, but have to admit that it's odd game design made it hard for me to play. I love hearing your passion for unique games though and your description of Moon has reinvigorated my desire to try this one out again
