Thanks for taking us all along with you. So many places in the world and not enough time to see them all. Once again thank you.

i have the luck to live in Gran Canaria., and everyday i just amazed by how beautiful this island is! the change of landscape from south to north is unbelievable. seem to be in many parts of the world but in the same place. that's why is famous as "Mini Continent". great video!!

Beautiful place. Thnx for sharing, Scott. Do a "side trip" to the Azores while you're out there! 👍👍

Thanks, the Azores are on my list! Almost went there instead of the Canaries. 👍

Thank you! We went to Decathlon in Telde, about 20 min north from the airport. Purchased the very last one in the store and it was the giant size (800 ml).

I did this in September. I definitely agree that the Southern part of the island is reminiscent of Arizona / Utah. Did you take an alternate route at the end? Looks like you came down a different way than I did
@Sheety3315 күн бұрын
Hey! Watched your video prior to my trip to help plan - nice job. Yes, took an alternate route at the end due to the high winds / rains. I learned there are so many variations to this trail.

@Sheety33 Cheers! Ah, that makes sense. I was more fortunate with the weather. I found out after my trip that they have now rerouted the GR-131 to start on the East side of the island, near the airport, rather than Maspalomas. Apparently it meets up with the existing trail in the centre of the island, near Pico de las Nieves. I'm planning to do the Tenerife section next. Great video, as always 👏

Hi Scott. Just came across your video and channel while researching this section of the GR131. Your video is very informative, and your footage is excellent. What type of camera do you use ? Looking forward to checking out your other videos. All the best Scott. 👍

Maspalomas ayagaures why didn't they go through the ravine? That road is very dangerous and boring...
@Sheety3316 күн бұрын
Road was not bad at all, and scenic! No details on the ravine, so took the notable road.
@danielortega591815 күн бұрын
the GR goes right along the ravine next to the road they walked... No cars and no danger to walk and much more beautiful in the middle of nature... For my taste, better than a road... Best regards

@Sheety339 күн бұрын
The authorities actually do not care….backpackers / thru hikers are considerate of the environment and practice “leave no trace” principles 😊 Be a good steward of the land and others will do the same in return. Happy trails!
