Hiking a Big Mountain in a Perfectly Straight Line

In this video, I hike up a huge mountain in a completely straight line. In total, I hiked almost 2000m of elevation gain that day with a total distance of about 20 km. It was one of the hardest hikes in my life because hiking in a straight line on a steep mountain is like climbing a very, very long staircase. There was also a fair bit of scrambling involved. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time, so I’m glad I finally did it. The final views on top of Pizzo di Camarda were simply spectacular. I returned to my car using a headtorch 3 hours after sunset.

Descended in the darkness. But there was a road/good trail to get back to my car. Still, had to hike down for another 3 hours in darkness 😀

Es zināju, ka ir tāds koncepts, bet nebiju nekad pats noskatījies nevienu šādu video. Pēc tam, kad editoju un smēlos idejas thumbnailam, beidzot noskatījos pāris video, ne tikai no GeoWizard. Muy interesante, Óscar. El enebro es un arbusto incómodo de atravesar, pero es terciopelo si lo comparas con la maquia espinosa que predomina en buena parte de la baja montaña mediterránea de España. Allí salirse del camino supone acabar la excursión con los pantalones destrozados o las piernas ensangrentadas. Los que salimos a la montaña desde tiempos analógicos preferimos hacer esas cosas con mapa y brújula, pero con tramos más cortos, en un zig-zag que evite lo peor de la vegetación y los barrancos más peligrosos... Feliz 2024!

I lived in Andalucia for 1 year, and i've done my fair share of hiking in Sierra Nevada, Nieves, Grazalema, Carzola, etc. So I know what you're talking about 😀 Much more painful than here!

so you walk a straight line, except for when you don't? so are you or aren't you? you were not. clickbait title... I can appreciate it more had you said: hiking a big mountain in as straight a line as possible. that probably would create more intrigue with people anyway since it gets them curious: how straight can he get? Instead you try to clickbait with a lie and yea... got me disappointed is what I'm saying. It also didn't sound all that impressive cause I assumed it wasn't an impressive mountain if you could walk a PERFECT line....
