Merci pour cet adorable compliment ! La technologie moderne des drones me permet de filmer beaucoup plus facilement. En principe, c'est relativement simple, je ferai peut-être une vidéo à ce sujet un jour. La difficulté est de savoir quand déballer le drone et quand il est préférable de faire attention au chemin.

I hope to see Switzerland again very soon, hard as travel is just now (due to pandemic rules). Nature is so important and challenging ourselves is as well. I think it’s nice to be alone, as well. Another great vid. I’m amazed that your wide drone shots don’t show other people, it looks like you have the place to yourself! The drone shots really make it look fantastic. Could you please tell me what model you use? And what video editing software you use? I struggle with this with my GoPro footage. Thank you! I indeed have the place to myself most of the time. I choose my hikes very carefully, and only go off the beaten path. I have to say, usually I don't encounter any people at all! I use a DJI Mavic Air 2, and a Canon SX740 for the steady shots. For the editing I use Final Cut Pro.

Hello Zen Hiking, first of all thank you for your amazing videos! Secondly I have a small question. Do you need to be an advanced/ experienced (mountain) walker to hike alone in the mountains? I have an amazing friendgroup & we do a lot of stuff together. The only thing that i want to do really badly is going on a walking vacation in the mountains but no one in the group really likes walking in the mountains. So i want to go alone. What do you think? Do you think i can go alone or first gain some experience?

Hi, interesting situation you have. I would probably approach it like exposure therapy, first do an easy one day trip, where you have phone reception and are safe, and then go from there. What kind of mountains did you have in mind?

@@fa7842 Agreed. In another video I use the MSR Advance, which is great for that kind of terrain. But then again I sometimes prefer to go as light as possible, especially when I do a hike in the upper altitude.

Thank you SO much for making these videos. I commented with my most effusive thanks on your “secluded cabin” video not realizing it was a year ago, and that you were ousting NEW Videos. My favorite place on earth is just below the Eiger mountain. I love to watch the gray clouds curl around it caressing it (mid-height) even on sunny days, it seems. I’ve only climbed Gumihorn and did so spontaneously, not intending to go to the top at all. So glad I did, though that’s childs play compared to what you climb! THANK YOU!
