Again, thank you for your video. 50 yrs ago, my best friend, and wife, made the trip to the bunion. She lost her battle to pancreatic 9+ months ago ,but we so enjoyed watching videos like yours. We made many hikes in the smokies and I recently made my 46th trip to g'burg.

Oh wow! We would love to be back there hiking in SMNP. I bet the fresh fir trees smell so good! We're in Florida right now but the memory of the fir trees is so nice to think back on. Enjoy the Smokies and thanks for watching! 💓

Very nice video. We attempted this trail last year, but had to turn around due to severe ice and we lacked micro spikes. You’ve cemented our determination to finish it. Thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year!!!! Thanks for another wonderful video! The hikes make me think of where I grew up with a forest behind the house, a bird sanctuary super close by (we also had pumpkin patches, corn fields, raspberries, blueberries, ponds, lakes - it was heaven!)!!!! May all of our adventures be amazing in 2021!!!!

At first I thought you were talking about the bunion! 😆 I don't think we'd put "bunion" and comfy in the same sentence. Haha! But it was definitely fun to explore!

We live near there, C's Bunion is one of my husband's favorite hikes. FYI the bears are hibernating in the winter. The trap is to catch wild hogs/boars, a menace to the park.
@PSAdventures
@PSAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
Charlies Bunion is definitely one of our favorites! Thanks so much for solving that mystery! We walked by it a couple times and the only thing we could think of course was for the bears but to catch hogs would make sense. Enjoy the park for us! Maybe we'll see you on trail when we visit the park again. 😊

Is that trail as scary for heights as it looks? Because the views are great but it looks like if you were to trip on a rock or branch and fall that’s the end of you! I would love to do this trail, but I’m chicken!!
@PSAdventures
@PSAdventures 10 ай бұрын
It's a wonderful hike! If you like mountain hiking, you'd love this trail. The short ridge line hike at the end is beautiful - at some points you can see nice views on both sides. The huge rock at the end that looks like a "bunion" is definitely the highlight of the trail. It probably is as sketchy and scary in person as it looks on our video. But you don't have to climb that part. You could hike the whole trail and then enjoy the views from a "safer" viewpoint. It's actually kind of cool to watch people climb that bunion. If you try, let us know how you like it! ❤️

Hi Candy! We stayed at Carr's Cottages in Gatlinburg. We just love hiking in the Smokies and while there are a lot of options of places to stay in Gatlinburg, we always stay here. You can see pictures of each of their suites and you can also book directly on their website: www.carrscottages.com. Enjoy!
