In early April I decided to finally visit the place I've wanted to see for a long while- Knoydart. This is a truly wild an remote peninsular, located on the west coast of Scotland.
With no roads onto the peninsular, the only way to access its remote mountains, lochs and rovers is either by foot or ferry. For this reason it is often referred to as one of the last wilderness areas in the UK. I soon learned that the effort to reach it was well worth it.
Join me as I catch the ferry into the remote town of Inverie and then complete a tough three day hike across Knoydart, staying at bothies along the way. The going was tough for much of the route, but incredible scenery, solitude and weather at the end made this trip one I'll never forget.
