Aaah Yes the obligatory, well deserved In-N-Out after a grueling day! Well done! Did you use Prusik hitches or just bare carabiners on the cables? I couldn’t quite tell ...
@EnergizedAgent3 күн бұрын
That was by far the best In n Out I’ve ever had. Thanks for watching! I went with carabiners straight on the cables. One for each cable. The other guy in the video has been up multiple times and didn’t use any gear. Just walked right up it
@teegees3 күн бұрын
@@EnergizedAgent Yikes! Do you recall roughly how many intervals there were where you had to unclip and clip back in?
@EnergizedAgent3 күн бұрын
@@teegees I think it’s 8 sections. I can’t quite remember. At that point my legs were on fire. At the base of the final climb it looked impossible. But once I clipped in and started up I felt much safer than I expected which is why I went with the double carabiners as opposed to using the Prusik. Which would’ve taken so much longer

I don’t think they should let anybody up on the half dome that doesn’t have some kind of climbing experience. I don’t have any climbing experiences. I want to long pine one time and win up on moral rock with my oldest brother. But I was young now that I’m 70 years old I don’t do things like this anymore. I’ve seen a lot of people get killed in our national parks because they were not safe they were being on safe people that go over the barriers are Grand Canyon wind up falling to their death. That’s too damn scary for me. I like flying in airplanes but I really don’t feel that safe in those anymore. People who don’t know how to climb people who don’t know how to deal with rough terrain shouldn’t even be on that now I don’t encourage anybody to go up there but that’s left up to the individual person as far as I concerned I want to live I don’t wanna die so I wouldn’t do that if you paid me too The age old saying is rather be safe than sorry.💀☠️ Life is too short to do stupid dangerous things. God gave us a brain he intends for us to use it. Don’t listen to somebody that tries to encourage you to do something you don’t really want to do be a leader not a follower. You listen to this person he’ll for sure get you killed because he says do it do something dangerous in your life get over your fears yeah you’ll get over your fears all right you are certainly die not for me today or tomorrow or any other day have a great day the scenery is beautiful but the danger is there💀☠️😖😡👎 to risky for me ha ha😃🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
