Hiking in Tillamook state forest | Kings mountain trail

Welcome to yet another hiking vlog with Forever Hum. This time, we enter the vibrant and lush green Tillamook state forest in the middle of spring season. Tillamook state forest lies inbetween Portland and Oregon coast with plenty of hiking and other sporting options. Among the top trails, is the Kings mountain trail, which takes you to the very top of the mountain with absolutely breathtaking views. The trail is ~5 mile round trip, and with elevation gain of ~2400 ft. Having learnt of this hike just last minute, we were psyched to head out there, since it was our first hike in nearly 2 months. Overall, this was a fairly nice trail, with only tricky park near the end where there are patches of snow on the ground. Hiking poles are strongly recommended. For thrill seekers, there is also an option of going further out to Elk mountain which is roughly another 2-3 mile trip from the King mountain top. If you are planning on hiking in Tillamook state forest, do try out this trail.
