Very much appreciated! I moved to Oregon from Vegas a couple of months ago, and I'm still figuring out places to go. Also, very much out of shape now, but I'd rather get out in all of the green than hop on a treadmill. Thank you!

Yea Oregon is huge and there are many places I could recommend. For 6 days and if you don’t want to do a ton of driving, it’s a bit difficult. Bend is one of the nicest places with lots of hiking nearby, but next year is the first year of the limited entry permit system so many of the awesome hikes will require getting a limited entry permit.
@markwilson7952
@markwilson7952 4 жыл бұрын
@@HikeOregon oh dear. So its complicated if you're coming from afar because permits are serendipitous. I think we are (6 to) 8hr hike maximum people (well, my partner is). So you think dont try oregon on only 6 days?

I definitely recommend coming to Oregon. There is so much to see here. Spend more than 6 days of you can and make sure to do your research on what trails you can and can’t hike without permits and research what areas you’d like to go to. If you’d like to hire me to make your itinerary I’d be happy to discuss pricing and details.

Hike Oregon do you have any suggestions for a great city to look at for lodging or Airbnb that’s between silver falls, Smith rock, Columbia river gorge , and crater lake?
@HikeOregon
@HikeOregon 4 жыл бұрын
@@adamswoboda5962 All those areas are kind of far apart. From the Gorge to Silver Falls it's 2 hours, from Silver Falls to Smith Rock it's 2.5 hours. From Smith Rock to Crater Lake it's a little over 2 hours. I would stay somewhere in the Gorge and do hikes from there, then I'd check out Silver Falls on the way to Smith Rock then stay in Bend. From Bend you can drive to Crater Lake. Then you can drive back via hwy. 138 and check out tons of waterfalls along that highway and then go back up north (I'm assuming Portland) via I-5.
