Definitely, and you never know when it's going to be there, and when it's going to leave. Always an adventure when visiting. Thanks for watching!

I hiked this a few weeks ago with my 15 lb camera backpack and tripod on my back. It was steep! I'm from Miami, FL, so any elevation causes huffing and puffing. I also encountered snow near the top, as it had snowed in the higher elevations the week I was there. I slipped on my butt coming down, as the snow was melting and the rocks were very slick. No harm done, but it was funny. This hike is 💯 worth it for the view.

Glad you enjoyed the hike and didn't get hurt! Weather is always very unpredictable at Waterrock, but that is just part of the adventure. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!

I walked up to the pedestrian overlook from the lot, and wasn't terribly winded, Will be interested to do the whole thing (I'm 68 BTW)

just a heads up -- remember for the future of filming -- we don't need to see where our feet are -- we need to see where our head is going -- the sights ahead is the goal of sightseeing -- and also -- yu look terrific - but we are here to see the sights - some of us are not city slickers looking at other cityslickers -- we as country bumbkins - call it soapoperaing -- just a bigdog hikers thoughts -- we learn as we go it seems -- good first efforts -- thXxxxx ! ----- a 6 mile hike for us bumpkins - is a mild walk to listen to the birds sing - before breakfast ! !

Thanks for watching - It’s funny, for some reason, many watching think we don’t live here, but we’re locals, and far from “city slickers”. It’s a balance, some want all scenery, others want more of me talking, so I try to put a little of both.

@@Blueridgemountainlife -- yep -- people need people - some more than others - ahahaha - their are those of us who need nature -- always a trade off - ahahahaha - anyway -- good job !

I wanna hike this super bad...I've done a few but not this one
@Blueridgemountainlife4 жыл бұрын
It's a nice short, but steep hike. A good workout, with great views at the top if it's not fogged in. Hike down and watch the sunset, for a great end of the day.

Hi, sorry we aren't doing group hikes this year. Perhaps next year, just depends on how things go.

That was so beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your adventures!! Love these Smoky Mountains where Iam blessed to live and try to hike some when possible.... this time in my life it’s more like a stroll but love it. Enjoyed Elkmont a couple weeks ago ! Thanks again and look forward to your next video!!

just for some good information -- 3 - 15 minute strolls a day - is of the healthiest things a person can do - it is said - can put at least 10 healthier - more years on the end of a life -- just try not to stop during those strolls - if possible -- building up to it -- is half the fun -- it starts out as hard as going to school tests - and turns into winning scores - so it is said to be -- good luck ! -- all health information swears by it ! ! - I do 4 miles just to stretch my legs a bit -- a lot of times at 3 AM -- the stars are surely the place of the gods -- ahahahahaha ahaha
