Cool hike and video. Was just there 3 weeks ago for one day. Did make to top of Vernal Falls but the shape my knees are in, it was a struggle. Doubt I could do this one unless I had another whole day. Wished I’d done a lot of this at an earlier age.

Yes, I like this type of video. Silent ones can be good sometimes but I personally like a good mix of talking and letting the camera tell the story, especially if you have a good personality. Great job! Words can't describe how beautiful this is and you captured it well. Thank you for sharing!

OMG, you made my Sunday! Was so excited when I saw this post but stayed disciplined and finished my Sunday chores first so I could watch it with my lunch of hot chili and an ice cold beer. Love the new camera. And love seeing your camp setup; the tiny tent lights were awesome. Thanks for showing the crowds; I like to see what conditions are really like. It made this NorCal gal want to jump in her RAV4 and head on out! BTW, I tried the Cab wine cube and the Cliff Nut Butter Bar both of which I saw in your videos and loved them both. Planning 5 backpacking trips this year, 2 of which I discovered from your videos: Chocolate Lakes and Kearsarge Pass. You are having a positive impact on people’s lives. Thank you 🤩

According to AllTrails, the vertical gain on that hike is 3,254'. You really found a nice camp spot for sure. I'll be camping in Little Yosemite Valley and doing Half Dome in late July, so by then there should be even more dirt tent sites. I've been very interested in a DJI Pocket camera and the quality of your video looks great.

That sounds about right. I forgot to add the digital map to this hike - would have been cool to see the profile for this hike. Enjoy your upcoming trip!! Can’t believe it’s nearly summer😁 The picker is good but the audio for a few of the clips was questionable. I started filming with my iPhone once at the campsite due to the ease of use.

You got my butt up there last weekend after watching this trip on your Instagram several weeks ago. I didn't make it to the top to backpack, but I had a great couple of hours up to the mid-point. I'll be back again to camp overnight. Love the camp setup, and now you've motivated me to try the MH chicken and rice. 😅 Awesome trip/video. ✌️ Oh, and the camera is great. Maybe play around with the audio. It sounded like it got a lot quieter when you were using it and talking to the camera. Glad you vlogged this trip!!

Thank you! I train weights 3 x per week - definitely helps for hiking in the Sierra. Squats, leg curls, extensions, deadlifts, etc all helps. I had cell service on top of the falls at my campsite (ATT).

Love your videos! Quick question: I’ve only been to Yosemite a couple times but this summer I’m bringing my 7 y.o. and I’d like to camp with him for one night but the traditional campgrounds are always booked too quick. What’s the best way to find a spot in the park kind of like what you do?
@jules1sd Жыл бұрын
I was able to find a spot in Wawona at the last minute. If you're looking for spots in the campgrounds, just keep checking back. Spots open up when people cancel, but they get snatched up pretty quickly, too. Good luck!
@brianuke2301 Жыл бұрын
Thanks @jules I’m wondering if there are spots that don’t require a reservation
@paolo-n2000 Жыл бұрын
@@brianuke2301 Camp 4 is the backpackers camp. It is usually no reservations, first come, first served...sometimes during the busy summer months, the park will instill reservations for Camp 4 - releasing sites 7 days before arrival date.
