You will have to watch the flex somewhere else I'm afraid. They are only available in the states so most of the world doesn't care. And I'm not going to the expense of importing them when every tool reviewer in America has already shown off their free set.

Well, most reviews demonstrate the Flex being on the upper end for power, but will more than likely overheat in very quick order. Whereas TTC demonstrated that the state bound XGT is a lower power unit (and Project Farm demonstrated that it still has more than enough power to snap 1/4” hex adapters like glass), that will keep going for quite a long time. Plus, a few channels have demonstrated that Makita’s got a good range.

don't worry about the grease mate mine came out of my old impact when I got it which must be about 8 years old and she still goes. of course when I got it I did do batten screws and coach screws with a pre drilled hole but honestly these days I find it even better than any impact driver to use an impact wrench with a driver bit adapter.

Thanks for the review of the WH36DC. Have you found any of the issues with twisting the heads of the screws with the DC as you did with the the DB- 2nd Gen? Have you seen Torque Test Channel's "High-Speed Video Uncovers Weird Stuff In Popular Impact Driver" for a possible explanation for why this occurs with the DB? I bought this impact recently because of seeing this video a few months ago. It's very impressive, very comfortable and powerful It's very smooth. Until now, I've only had m12 & m18 impacts, and they're so beat up and ragged looking, peeling, etc. It's nice to have a shiny new screw gun. I tried taking my lug nuts off with it and they just zipped right off in a second. And I built a deck extension(and resurfacing)So far, the biggest screws I've driven are 6in GRK "lag alternatives" plus a whole lot of 3.125" & 2.5" GRK #10s, and a few hundred composite deck screws. It handled everything very well. The grease is could be from running it hard for a prolonged period after it's been sitting in a box for a year, after it was manufactured. A downside is there's no compact batteries. If they could make a 1.5ah that was half as thick, I'd use them on this tool for sure. Impact drivers should not have such big batteries hanging off them. Also, these batteries have no rubber coating on them. It makes them look cheap. I might spray plasti-dip on them so I can stand this up safely.

The Dewalt does it because they put 3x the amount of grease needed and they make it so when it heats up for the first 3-4-5 times it melts to lube the inside of the chuck as well- plus it gets very hot.

Hikoki used to be the best quality power tools on the market , Made in Japan. Don't know what is happened why grease leakage. I am still happy with my old Makita, being few years now still good.

The oil coming out of the collet happened to my workmates brand new gen 2 triple hammer impact. Hikoki couldn't fix it and reolaced the impact. Seems like they haven't fixed it.

Watching the torque test channel the sound change is the hammer skipping the anvil and hitting the top of it instead of the side like it should. They found it to put a forward force in the chuck and bend the screws also.

I personally think the standard double hammer has better force because the hammer is travelling further with more rotation speed rather than the triple hammer as it travels less with less hammer speed and I don’t see any extra NM force to compensate the less rotation, and why is it whenever I watch your vids I always go and play with my tools !!!! bahahahaha.

Tricky one. But I would still go 171 LXT I reckon, unless you want a 1/2 inch router or framing nailer. Hikoki will take at least another 5 years to get anywhere near the range that Makita has. And they are still pumping out new lxt stuff. 2 new chainsaws just released a couple of days ago.

I think you've discovered a very serious issue. Based on your observations of the triple hammer warping screws and slowing down, I suspect the hammering frequency has no randomness designed in its mechanical action. What you are seeing are destructive harmonics. The frequency of the hammering is too close to the natural resonant frequency of the impact internals and that screw that you warped in a previous video.

You can actually see it happening in this video too, but to a lesser extent due to using steel instead of stainless like the previous video you speak of. Hopefully one day when I have more time I will make a video delving into the issue.

TTC tested them, and the results were that they were totally interchangible performance wise. So, the question becomes, do you spend more and get the bigger batteries out the gate but lose out on the small batts (which I don't really find a difference when using them, personally), or do you save the money and get an impact that can accept all the batteries? I chose bigger batts.

There are no slim pack batteries for 36/40V tools, because they need 10 cells to get that voltage. If the tool is 36/40V, it’s going to need either a double stack battery, or a very long battery pack (I.e. the Hart 40V system of outdoor power equipment)

The following is the quote from wh36dc manual: The Tightening mode switches between 5 different modes each time the Tightening mode selector switch is pressed. Upon pulling the trigger switch in bolt single mode, the driver will automatically stop after applying a number of impacts. Soft / power / bolt and self drilling screw mode will commence impact upon pulling the trigger switch and will continuously apply impact without auto-stopping. Soft mode is a mode that does not infl ict damage on thin nails or decorative materials. Power mode can be used for normal work up to heavy load work. Bolt mode has a short pull margin for the trigger switch, making the driver ideal for high-speed tightening work. Bolt single mode controls the impact, allowing control of the tightening force. Use this mode for delicate work such as tightening bolts for racks, fences, furniture, etc. Self drilling screw mode is ideal for tightening self drilling screws by reducing the chances of overtightening that could result in severing the screw head, breaking the screw, or slippage. NOTE ○ The appropriate mode differs depending on the screw and the material being screwed. Drive in a few test screws and adjust the mode setting accordingly. ○ The tightening mode selector switch can only be set after the battery has been installed in the driver and the trigger switch has been pulled once.

@@robertrada4783 telling about price. The M18 Fuel Jigsaw is at 240 Euros so about 270 USD bare tool. The new M18 Gen 2 mid tourqe bare tool 249 Euros. The small M18 miter saw is around 800 USD, yoz get the sinular specs 18V Profactor Bosch Miter for half. Basicly Milwaukee is only for fancy american fandom people in europe. You are more close to Hilti or Festool in price as to Bosch, Makita or Metabo

The finish of Milwaukee tools is a bit on the cheap side, the fat handle is personal preference but still its crazy that a Festool Kapex KS 120 is like 50 bucks more expensive than a Milwaukee MS 304 DB. This saws are just not in the same League they are not even from the same planet. While one is a saw that is known for fine carpentery like high foot trimmings the other one is a construction side miter.. Yrs for Elu, its sad but Dewalt is also like the german or japanese Brands not that aggressive in adverticment...

@@Zozo806 The M18 12in miter is $700.00 in the US. The Kapex 150 is $1575.00, more than twice as much. The fuel jigsaw is a freebie tool, meaning throughout the year, all the Milwaukee dealers put out a "buy a battery starter kit for $150, choose a free tool" and the list is always the same, jigsaw being one of the options. Otherwise it's $199.

It's interesting that your Gen 2 doesn't have the "Made in China" on the label. On the Metabo HPT branded version for USA markets, it has Made in China on the very bottom left side of the label. They look identical, yours just has a blank space where it would be.

His was made inside of a blank void in the shipping container out on the open sea. They were running behind on the shipment and had to send an assembly worker along with a few pallets of impact driver parts. He managed to make 4,799 impact drivers before he was shot and killed by somali pirates.

Metabo is the original name of the company. It's a German company that was bought out by Hitachi. They're labeled as hikoki just for Australia and NZ.

Metabo is a completely different line of tools. Metabo HPT is only used in the US. Everywhere else on earth they are called hikoki. Metabo tools are still a separate brand name and completely different tools even though the company is owned by Hitachi Koki.

Either way makita jus an amazing impact with the feel and smoothness and all. Ended driving some lags with my coworkers Milwaukee today and even tho it was faster i jus didnt like it nearly as much and i hate the handle on the Milwaukee its bulky

My least favourite part about Milwaukee is their triggers, they’re pretty much either half or full, with the Makita I can do drywall if I want because the triggers so soft I can feel what it’s doing. After being a Milwaukee guy for several years, it’s going to take quite a bit for me to go back. Only thing Milwaukee has is power and nothing else, I don’t think impact drivers have to get anymore powerful, there’s a point where you’d just use an impact wrench🤷🏼‍♂️

Both of the Hikoki Impacts are 36v only. The 18v impacts take both batteries whereas the 36v only take the Multi-volt batteries.
