I think what Ethan is thinking and trying to say with “we’re married” is that he thinks their relationship is beyond things like attraction and looks. I think he means that he views Hila as more than a lover and like a life partner. So in his mind, looking at something like an ig profile wouldn’t even mean anything to him beyond his curiosity because that’s how connected and close he feels to Hila. Even in a non-married relationship it would be okay to look. My guess is that she feels that by just looking he's gonna get an incentive to go farther. Idk, feeld weird she doesn't want him looking yet she acts fine with all the Belle Delphine stuff. Though the difference there is that Belle wouldn't be all over him so I guess that makes Hila feel safe. But given hid husband's drooling over Belle the same could happen with another.

Yeah I was thinking the same, I'm genuinely shocked that everyone from the podcast disagrees with Ethan because I think the same way. That makes sense to me that she feels that way, but yea I personally am on Ethan’s side because in my opinion this isn’t a case of window shopping. I think liking naked pics of girls or watching porn is actually worse than just seeing a person’s face that’s interested in you. Because the way I see it, you want to see how attractive that person is as purely an ego boost to yourself. If the person that’s into you is attractive, it’s going to make you feel like an attractive person. Now if you’re just looking at attractive people that don’t know you exist and are jerking off to them, that’s actually more like window shopping in reality. Just sayin!

There’s no clear right answer Ethan is speaking from an existential perspective, saying that just because he sees a hot girl who wants him, he’s in charge of his own decisions and isn’t going to do anything. From Hila’s perspective, she’s feeling insecure that her partner would check out attractive girls with no intention of cheating on them, because the possibility of him doing it exists. Both are valid points and make sense.

Yeah i probably agree with ethan just out of pure curiosity but i definitely understand Hila's perspective on the matter
@joshopoke4 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is my view. In the case of the video, I would 100% side with Ethan. Not because I think Hila is wrong, but that she's being so dismissive of what he's saying (and surely in a trusting relationship you should believe your partner when they say it's curiosity for curiosity's sake!). Her feelings about it are completely justifiable, but it's patronising and rude to assert that Ethan isn't capable of distinguishing ill intent from innocent curiosity, that he isn't capable of being curious without also having thoughts of being unfaithful.
@cosmosofinfinity4 жыл бұрын
In other words, Hila is being possessive and insecure and irrationally untrusting of their relationship when there is clearly no reason no motive to think Ethan would betray her for some random hussy. She is not confident in her own value as a woman and the authenticity of the relationship they have built together and doubts his honesty and the sincerity and devotion of his love for her, and is scared of even the most remote of possibilities that comes with the fact that Ethan is an independent thinking human being who has free choice and free thought and does not necessarily have to pick Hila. She should respect that he DID pick Hila, and believe he did so for a reason, and did so because it is his choice and it is how he likes it. It's an inner problem with her, not a problem with Ethan's mundane ordinary behavior of casually wanting to see who's talking to him. Hila thinks so lowly of Ethan to suspect that he would go down a dark stupid path that would betray everything he's ever said or ever done thus far in investing in their partnership to start over with some high risk fling with a completely unknown person. Hila is showing disrespect and lack of belief in Ethan and his ability to stay true to his principles.
@thejew17894 жыл бұрын
@@cosmosofinfinity It's not JUST a lack of belief, you also have to understand the culture we live in. One of fear. People are CONSTANTLY afraid of lots of stupid shit. Is this going to happen, is that going to happen, I don't want this to happen. She probably sees hot girls and is a bit insecure because she hears other stories of guys cheating. A culture of fear. It makes her think it could happen to her, which I guess it could, but she sees that aspect of the relationship as a statistic rather than something personal. Hila not wanting Ethan to talk to other girls doesn't reveal anything negatively about her, it's just an insecurity that comes from the culture she lives in.

Promxy Mc some boundaries are obvious for most people and then there are some things that you have never even thought about, for example what’s happening with Ethan and Hila in this video, you should always set up boundaries from the beginning of the relationship but most of the boundaries you set throughout the relationship, but the most important this is to listen to each other and try to understand where the other person is coming from which seems to be the issue with Ethan and Hila in this case, but Ethan gave up at the end

In fact, I believe this is not exactly window shopping, just by guessing based on Ethan's personality, I would guess this is an ego thing. @Kawi curiosity and asking questions serve to fulfill what we perceive as "holes" or "pits" in our understanding of our lives and the world around us. There is no such thing as simply wanting to know something for "the sake of knowing". In this context, I think Ethan bases how valid/good the compliment is on the person's looks. By showing interest (or "CuRioSIty) in what the person looks like, Ethan is showing that he cares enough to see how valid/notable the complement is. This is a problem to hila because she reasons that Ethan should only need her validation and no one else's; I find myself agreeing with her.

Satan Lucifer the fact that people have any other opinion on the matter is actually kinda revolting... why would you need someone else’s validation while your in a relationship. It’s a really dumb and self centered way of thinking about relationships. Kinda ruins the point of being with someone in the first place 😂 “oh yea let me just check this girl out on Instagram to see how hot she is because she called me cute” the only point in doing that would be to entice unfaithful thoughts and or validate yourself in a way you feel your significant other can’t and both of those are unhealthy in a relationship

@@angryerika my problem with everyone justifying hila is that people are adding assumptions to the action. And Hila, like most women, needs to learn to be less entitled sometimes. Looking and being able to appreciate when another is objectively attractive doesn’t make them less faithful, quite the contrary. Denying the beauty of a stranger proves that you are just self-conscious about the temptation whereas admitting that a stranger is beautiful while simultaneously remaining loyal is the real test.

I feel like sometimes when a woman has a child we do become more insecure. Maybe your body changes or because you are a mother and that’s such a beautiful thing but because it’s 24/7 you can sometimes get so wrapped up in being a mother that you can suppress (not intentionally) the sexy girlfriend/wife. I don’t mean like makeup, hair , nails, lingerie but the part of you that makes you feel sexy from the inside to your partner. Then you start to feel guilty for neglecting that part of you and not being that for your partner as much. So some women actually a lot of women can start to question if their still attractive to their partners as a mother. I think it’s just a natural thing. Don’t know if that’s got anything to do with this particular situation. But I do think that if your partners easy going and always has been and every once in a blue moon they tell you something doesn’t make them feel good about themselves if it’s something as simple as this . Then you help your partner by not doing that something that makes them feel either bad about themselves or that they don’t agree with. Also this goes both ways not just for the female . If you notice your mans not feeling as good about themselves as they usually do . Do something or say something to them that you now will lift his confidence.

I’ve seen him on several occasion serenade Hila with compliment after compliment. He seems like a good husband who loves and supports his wife any way he can. He’s extremely proud and happy to be with her. All that said though I can see your point of view with motherhood shifting the way women see themselves, and Ethan should be more aware of that, but I think cut the guy some slack.
