Let this be a warning to everyone. When you spend years of your life lying there is the real possibility that after a while you'll start to believe your own lies. I think this woman really believes her parents are Spanish, that she only spoke Spanish at home, that she spent half her life in Spain where she attended school and really is a child of two cultures. Her parents are not Spanish, none of her school friends were aware she was ever called Hilaria by anyone, or spoke with a Spanish accent. Her cousin states that the family spent one or two short holidays in Spain, certainly not long enough for her to have attended school there or to lay claim to the Spanish culture. And no Spanish schoolteacher has emerged to confirm she attended their school or was taught by them. On top of that, her parents and brother have stayed silent though the entire reveal of her lies when they could easily have come forward to defend her. The fact she is still affecting a very bad Spanish accent even after being found out speaks to a level of self delusion that is pathological.

What is needed is a journalist who grew up in Spain and who speaks ok English. And have that person interview her and photograph her. He can find her out in 2 secs: she only speaks in present tense, she does not use past tense or future tense, she does not use the subjunctive (which is constantly used in Spanish but hard to learn). Her Spanish is good only, say B-, not fluent or even close to fluent. If she had grown up in Spain she would be fluent, have a larger vocabulary, use all the tenses, use the subjunctive. She lied, and has stated she grew up in Spain. My country USA puts pressure on people to be rich and be an it person. She fell for that scam.

​@@melis6294 I worked production on an Estee Lauder video that she was on. She was definitely off, but it was 2016 so I didn't realize how nuts she really was. But I distinctly remember her having that accent, and then the director asked her if she wanted to do a cut in Spanish and she froze and her eyes darted around and she slowly shook her head no. She definitely cannot carry on impromptu in Spanish, she can only speak what she has had time to rehearse. I was confused but didn't think much of it. LITTLE DID I KNOW.
