My favorite thing ever is to go read reviews of the Bible. There are some absolute masterpieces ranging from “Made me go to therapy for five years” to “can’t believe the main character DIED” to the ever-classic “This sucks. It doesn’t have enough frogs. And it could be gayer.”

My fave review EVER was written for the book Dracula by Bram Stoker, a girl wrote the following glorious thoughts: "Last thing to note: I absolutely did not need to be chastised for 400 pages on the virtues purity of women in a VAMPIRE novel. You can alwas count on men to have the audacity, but not the writing skill" BEST REVIEW I HAVE EVER READ

My favourite review of Dracula was a guy who simply wrote: „Actual depiction of Bram Stoker writing this novel“ and then simply inserting a gif of a guy beating a dead horse... just so accurate...

@@EliSa-cf6dm When the book was published, the fact that the count (spoiler) is an ancient vampire was actually a shocking twist. Contemporary readers surely could sense early something was wrong with the count and the castle but were kept guessing as to what. There were only a couple of vampire novels written before that, the most famous of them Carmilla probably. It's very hard to read Dracula today the way it was meant to be read. Sadly Bram Stoker was very much a litterary one-hit wonder. His other novels by all accounts suck (I tried to read The Lair of the White Worm but it was just hopelessly confused). He did write a couple of great short stories though, which are quite scary even to modern readers.

I was trying to come up with what a TV show with the plot of "The Queen's Gambit but with Scrabble" would be called and all I came up with was "The Scramble's Gramble." and I think that's fantastic, honestly.

To be fair, some of these were really creative and funny. My favorite was the first Jane Eyre review. I am a sucker for those instances when people dish it out on the book they hated in its own style. XD Brilliant.

6:50 the only, absolutely only, thing I remember (which is still probably more than most people know on the subject) about high-level Scrabble players is that they often have no idea what the more unusual words they use mean. They've just memorized the words themselves from a dictionary.
