😄👍 When you're from southern California (like me) you pick up on a few details in this movie that others might not. The one thing that San Dimas is known for is that water park, which in reality, is called "Raging Waters." The Eddie Van Halen references have to do with the fact that he is from Pasadena, which isn't far from San Dimas. Also that speech that Abraham Lincoln gives near the end is completely goofing on the "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln" attraction in Disneyland. Watching you watching movies is always a hoot.

Whoa!!! 😲 Stupendous Trivia Dudes 🎸 The Phone booth was going to be a Van originally , they changed it because of its parallels to the Delorian . Keanu called it the death ride canoe with it moving so wildy on a gimbal in front of a green screen. Later on it was given away as a prize by Nintendo power for a video game. Scfi legend Richard Matheson ( writer) suggested to his son that Bill & Ted would be better as a whole movie rather than just a sketch. Other actors who auditioned include Paulie shore & upcoming Brendan Fraser (who team up later in encino man about a caveman) River phoenix & Sean penn (fast times at Ridgemont High) Rufus could have been played by a very intelligent talking dog 🐶 Dude is spoken around 70 times Director Stephen Herek saved tons of money by reusing footage for the Napoleon scene from 1956 war & peace. In early drafts the emperor Charlemagne & baseball legend Babe Ruth were going to be involved. The historic actors became close friends. Dan shore who played Billy the kid has fond memories of Socrates actor Tony Steedman while in Rome fine dinning beacause he was truly a elegant gentleman. There's a time paradox when Rufus introduces himself to future Bill & Ted who go back in time & meet themselves but how is it that they know his name the first time around? & Finally the original Distributor went bankrupt so they sent a rough cut around. They were confused about if kids really did talk like that , test screening in local malls were popular so it got the green light for about a million dollars , peanuts compared with today. The movies are played in high schools to encourage students all about History. With that "Be excellent to each other" 😎 🤟

I was 11 when this came out. My friends and I went through that phase where everything was most triumphant and bogus. No matter how many John Wick movies they make, Keanu Reeves will always be Ted Theodore Logan to me. I still have the soundtrack CD to this movie and it's still an awesome jam.

I can tell you why it is flickering. Whoever uploaded this video did it with a VHS machine. A video tape. That would sometimes happen to the tape if you recorded the movie off of a tv. I have had that happen to me before. That was before the digital age of recording things.

Holla 🍿 Vanessa Looking choice Budacious Dudette This should be most Triumphant 😅 ▶️ 🎸 This movie takes me back in time feeling stoked like I'm free stylin in a 80s mall , could've rented it out at blockbuster 📼 . Sure it's silly & ridiculous , time travel doesn't always make sense but if you go with the flow as a light-hearted comedy Scfi it's totally tubular & for dumbfounded idiots Bill & Ted are quite charming , I like their happy go lucky take on things , figuring out ways out of a jam , it's hard not to root for them as unlikely heroes. It shouldn't come as a surprise they started out as a stand up routine , Chris & Eddie ( who created them) would take questions from the audience & make themselves laugh to as the characters. It tended to be for a specific audience so they didn't know for a movie if it would be a big hit or flop. Bill & Ted were originally younger skinny guys with metal t-shirts & bell bottom jeans , outcasts from the popular kids but when Alex & Keanu came on board they became the cool guys & found that they had great chemistry with guitars & motorbikes in common. There's a rumour that they auditioned for each others parts , it's true that they did get confused about who was who. They wanted the characters to be more appealing than just valley slacker stereotypes , ha they did get the mannerisms down to a tee. Wanting Eddie van Helen to teach them some licks was because they wanted him to play Rufus 🕶️ but couldn't afford it. The most important three in future utopia could have been ZZ Top ⚡ ( you know them from back to the future 3 ) . It was filmed in Arizona including Coronado high school , it mostly got torn down except for the opening scene with the unique roof & mosaic when there leaving school in a red Mustang. The Waterloo park with Napoleon was a blast , your probably right about that , they couldn't close it while filming so it's all for real , kids were more risk takers back then , we are better off for it. My favourite scenes 🎬 " Strange things are a foot at the circle K" was pretty rad with them second guessing there future selves. Playing air guitar in heavy metal was hilarious & Jane Wiedlin as Joan of arc passed me by until now, she been in plenty of shows, b movies & voice overs like scooby doo. Rootin tootin Billy the kid was a okay dude for a outlaw , not so much in reality I'm guessing. Whenever there zapping back in time some of the scenes ain't long enough. When they met Socrates , that song reference went over your head , it's by 70 Rockers Kansas , sad & meaningful 🎻 give it a listen , if you were a fan of supernatural like me there other favourite "wayward son " was featured. It was wild when they took them to the mall , Beethoven was a wizard on the keys & Genghis was tearing it up. When it comes to the closing scenes with Bill & Ted passing class & leaving for the prom with the princesses , it wasn't exciting enough so they went with the finale light show , Abe Lincoln so distinguished sound advice indeed to live by. Wrap it up , ha that look from Rufus , he's right wait & see they do get better. If your watching bogus journey , I'm sure your enjoy it even more , it's way out there with better effects & a catchy anthem by kiss. Most outstanding thanks for going live again , I always have a great time , you keep us on our toes. Maybe I'll join your (woke) patreon eventually but for now I want to give more than just a fixed amount every month , you know how much I care about giving you my full support.
